Base Class: Barbarian
The Strength of emotion
Many people say people burn with love, anger, and disgust, that they radiate joy, or are frozen in fear. For most these are merely idioms, things people say to describe and emphasize their point, but in the cold of winter, in the darkest places, in the most desperate situations, when all people can count on is their feelings and emotions to keep on living, some awaken to this inner fire, in the most literal sense.
Barbarians of the Inner Fire are fearless warriors who learned to harness the power of their emotion to protect and harm.
Blazing Outrage
As an action, you release a radiating burst of emotion. Each creature within 30 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature is blinded until the end of your next turn and takes fire damage equal to 3d8 + your Charisma modifier on a failed saving throw, and takes half as much damage and is not blinded on a successful one. A creature that has total cover from you is not affected.
You can use this feature once per short or long rest.
Radiating Passion
Starting at 3rd level, while raging, you let your emotions wash over you. You can direct them to embolden allies or to lash out against enemies.
While raging you gain access to the following:
- You can use a bonus action to give immunity to the frightened condition to an ally within 30ft. of you until the start of your next turn.
- You can use a bonus action to frighten a creature with 10ft. that can see or hear you. It must succeed in a wisdom saving throw {DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier} or be frightened until the end of your next turn. If the creature succeeds on its saving throw, you can't use this feature on that creature again for 24 hours.
- You shed bright light in a 30 foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
Ever-burning Flame
Beginning at 3rd level, you are able to not freeze both internally and externally. You gain resistance to cold damage and can’t be frightened.
Fire of Life
Beginning at 10th level, just as a burning fire warms up those close to it, you are able to turn your pain into kindling for your allies. Whenever you take damage you can heal an ally other than yourself within 15-feet of you an amount equal to your Rage damage bonus. You can use this a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus. You regain all uses on a short or long rest.
Burning Up!
Starting at 14th level, you learn how to use your Inner Fire to burn bright but fast. While raging you can use an action to gain the effects of the Haste spell for 1 minute. Whenever you are under this effect you take 1d12 fire damage at the start of each turn until you end the effect with a bonus action. You can use this feature once per long rest.
