Different God Styles created by some of the strongest melee fighters in the world. Some are ancient some are newer but all are incredibly powerful. So choose to learn a style and cut through your enemies like butter as the warrior your meant to be. They Styles each fall into a Rock, Paper, Scissors effect. Meaning Sword is good against North, North is good against Water, and Water is good against Sword. They all fall into one of those categories meaning they are weaker and stronger in different fields.

For those of the Sword God Style, their motto is "Victory goes to he who moves first". It is a style of swordsmanship that emphasizes speed and aggression, where the main focus is to strike down the opponent first. As a result, many of the practitioners develop to be short-tempered and belligerent. In order to be able to react swiftly, there is discouragement for practitioners to wear heavy armour and instead opt for light clothing for maximum mobility.

For those of the Water God Style, It is a style of swordsmanship that specializes in defensive techniques emphasizing parrying and counter-attacking oncoming attacks. Since there are only a few ways to attack, there is also the art of provocation to make the opponent take the initiative. A skilled practitioner would be able to read the flow of Magic and use their senses to block and counter any attack, including magic and projectiles.

For those of the North God Style, The main focus of this style is not on techniques or developing specialties but rather a method on how to stay alive and approach a battle with the highest chance of winning. It relies heavily on the practitioner's adaptability and usage of one's surroundings, as a result, this style involves using a lot of tricks instead of refined techniques even dual wielding two weapons. It is a utilitarian style of swordsmanship that includes non-sword fighting techniques such as first-aid and tracking, as well as the ability to fight while physically deficient. Owing to this, different learning institutions have different approach to battle and practitioners have very disparate fighting styles.

Since there are only a few ways to attack, there is also the art of provocation to make the opponent take the initiative. A skilled practitioner would be able to read the flow of Magic and use their senses to block and counter any attack, including magic and projectiles.

Flow: After choosing this style you get access to it's first skill. The basic counter-attack technique that can be applied to all the techniques of the Water God Style. This technique, once mastered, is said to be able to return any attack that comes in the user's way. Though it is a basic technique and not one of the Five Secret Arts, the school considers it to be the backbone of the style and the most important technique. As a reaction to failing a DEX saving throw or an attack you may maneuver like water and either move 15 feet in a straight line in one direction potentially getting out of harms way, or flow with the attack so it could potentially miss. Roll 1d6 and add it to your AC potentially causing the affect to miss. You may use this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus plus your STR or DEX modifier.

You also gain proficiency in Perception or expertise if you are already proficient because you can see exactly when to dodge or defend.

God Style 2nd Technique

You have been training in your respective God Style to hone your skills. Only choose the God Style you chose at 3rd level. You have learned and unlocked a new technique that will push you further in your quest to become a strong warrior.

Backlash Form

You know how to maneuver yourself in order to win in any situation. With that you know how to attack quickly or get away from enemies even after being hurt yourself. After you have taken some form of damage as a reaction you can either move up to half of your movement not triggering opportunity attacks, or attack an enemy in range with advantage.

You may use this an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus.

You also increase your movement speed by 5 feet.

Flow and Crash

After working to improve Flow you have learned a new technique in which you can counterattack after being missed by an attack. After using Flow or an attack missing you outright you may make an attack immediately, and after sacrificing half of your movement speed on your next turn you gain an AC bonus equal to your fighter level divided by 3 rounded down.

This may be used an amount of times equal to your proficeincy bonus.

Slash of Silence

After working to increase blade speed you have learned this new technique. This technique is a faster variant of the Slash of Speed where the blade is swung at a velocity beyond the speed of sound. A characteristic of this technique is that leaves no sound behind. As an action you move 15 feet attacking a target and slashing it before any sound is made. You have advantage on this attack and it does triple the damage if you rolled a 16 or higher, if not then it does double damage. You may use this skill an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus.

Battle Aura

Battle Aura, in essence, is a form of Mana manipulation, but different from the flashy effects of Magic invocation as it is invisible to the naked eye. It is specifically used as a technique to explosively boost physical power and physical defense. It involves coating the whole body or a specific body part in Mana and forming a mantle of dense energy.

Your aura explodes as you decide what way to wield it. More defensively or more offensively.

Defense

Instinctively, swordsmen and fighters sheathe themselves in a protective veil of Battle Aura around the user's body or a specific body part. When mastered, the veil of Battle Aura can become impenetrable to most physical attacks. It also greatly elevates one's sense of the battlefield.

Permanently increase your defenses as you coat your body with a thick Battle Aura. You are now resistant to all non-magical bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage. And at level 16 this becomes immunity.

Offense

Battle Aura is typically used by all swordsmen. Wearing Battle Aura is woven into the art of swordsmanship, it worked to improve one's physical prowess and strengthening the blade of the sword itself. Swordsmen whose Battle Aura has been fully developed are able to cleave boulders in a single stroke, or unleash a flash of the blade to strike a distant foe.

Permanently gain a +1 to all attacks and they become magical for means of overcoming resistance as you coat any attacks with your Battle Aura strengthening them.

God Style 3rd Technique

A true warrior you have honed your skills to their near limits. With your power you can fight for whatever reason and are always ready to. You gain access to a new technique after training and fighting for so long.

Slash Reversal

In this technique, it is a requirement for the user to have exceeding reaction speed; before the enemy's attack reaches its maximum velocity, it is countered by the user's own attack by cutting at the enemy causing them to lose focus on the attack. As a reaction to being attacked in melee range you can make one slash at the enemy before the attack hits. If your attack hits the enemy takes half of the damage and the other half reduces the attack roll by that much potentially making their attack miss.

This may be done an amount of times equal to 1 plus your STR or DEX modifier.

Tidal Wall

You have become a juggernaut on the field of battle and have trained your body to absorb and deflect any blow. With this you have become an impenetrable force and know how to direct your force like a tidal wave. If you move 30 feet in a straight line towards an enemy your AC increases by 6 until the start of your next turn as you run into battle like a fortress on legs. This may be done an amount of times equal to 1 plus your STR or DEX modifier.

Whirlwind Form

You are a tactical fighter but sometimes enemies get a little too close and you need to cut them all down in every direction. You make a series of slashes in a whirlwind motion hitting all targets around you in your range. As an action you can make an attack against every target within range in this singular action and you have advantage to do so. (Extra attack can still be used after this.) You can do this a number of times equal to1 plus your STR or DEX modifier and resets after a long rest.

God Style Secret Technique

You have done it. You have mastered your way of fighting to the highest degree. Now go warrior conquer this world with the strength you have created.

Work with your DM to create a final technique that is personal to you. Have it be in the same vain as the style you chose or go completely against the grain and the style. As long as it works cannonically in your world and the DM is okay with it then more power to you.
