Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

A blood magus derives her power from the magical energy flowing through her veins. By drawing on the power of her own blood she can create powerful magical effects and devastate her foes.

Sanguine Casting

A Blood Magus may substitute her blood for non-costly  material components. This feature is a part of the normal casting of the spell and does not require a separate action. This feature inflicts 1d4 +spell level of the spell being cast in necrotic damage. This damage may not be reduced by any means. Casting a spell using this feature increases the spell save DC by 1. This occurs even if the spell has costly Material components.

Arcane Haematology

Using this feature a blood magus may attempt to regain spell slots by spending health. The blood magus takes damage equal to 1d4+ Spell level of the recovered spell. For example to recover a 5th level spell it the blood magus would take 1d4+5 damage. This feature may be used a number of times equal to the blood magus' constitution modifier (minimum of 1 time). The damage caused by this feature cannot be reduced or prevented in anyway.

Blood brew

At 3rd level, a blood magus learns how to store spells of up to 3rd level in his own blood. During a long rest the sorcerer may brew spells in his blood.   Once “brewed,” a blood brew remains in circulation within a magus’s body. The maximum number of brews he can store at one time is equal to his blood magus level + his Constitution score, but if he is ever slain, they are all immediately ruined—even if he is subsequently returned to life. Blood draughts are never lost through major blood loss or by a blood-draining attack. To consume a brew, a blood magus pricks his skin, automatically bringing forth the desired effect. This is a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity. Another creature can consume a blood brew by drinking 1 ounce of the blood magus’s blood as an action. The blood magus must have an open wound to share the effects of a blood draught with another creature; if he lacks one, the creature can cause a wound that deals 1d4+spell level of the stored spell point of damage to the blood magus as part of the action to release the spell. A blood magus cannot store his blood in a container to share at a later time. The blood draught must be drawn fresh from his body, or it loses potency within 1 round.

Blood Boil

At 14th a blood magus can cause an opponent's blood to boil. The target must succeed on a DC 15 constitution saving throw or the heat disrupts the victim’s tissues, dealing 10d10 points of necrotic damage. This ability is usable only once per day, but a blood magus can try to use it again later in the day if his previous attempt failed. The blood magus may only attempt to use this ability on a target a single time each day (however if that target succeeds on it's saving throw the feature can be used on another target). The effect is instantaneous. Constructs, elementals, oozes, plants, undead, and any creatures without blood or a similar substance within their bodies are immune to this effect.

Exsanguinate

All creatures withing 30 feet of you that have taken damage must make a DC 15 constitution saving throw. Each creature that fails it's saving throw must take damage equal to 4* Hit Die of that creature as it's blood is drained and flows to the caster in sanguine tendrils. The caster of this feature can either heal for half of the damage dealt or create a blood bomb with the blood collected in this process. This feature can me used once per long rest.

Blood Bomb - A pulsating red ball with a fearsome explosion.

A blood bomb has a radius of 15 feet and can be thrown 30/60 feet. Any creatures in the area of the explosion must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw or take damage equal to the damage dealt with the Exsanguinate feature. Any creatures failing the dexterity saving throw must also succeed on a DC 17 wisdom saving throw or be frightened for one round.
