Base Class: Rogue
The Brotherhood of assassins prides itself on its secrecy, and is feared for their ruthlessness. A true assassin uses reason and logic to determine what is best for the common good, rejecting blind faith. Their ideology focuses on the preservation of free will, and the growth of individuality. Using the environment as our ally, with the help of deception and stealth, we strive to manipulate or eliminate hostility by suppressing both sides of conflict.
The Brotherhood's Creed:
"Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent"
"Hide in plain sight"
"Nothing is true; everything is permitted"
When we say that "nothing is true", we recognize that the core of our society is fragile, and we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. In reference to "everything is permitted", we understand that as a society we must live with our consequences, whether it be for the better, or worse.
Brotherhood Initiate
A Brotherhood Assassin works best in the shadows, and within crowds. At 3rd level, when you choose this archetype, you gain expertise in Stealth. If you already have this expertise, you may choose another skill you are proficient in to gain expertise. When wearing a piece of hooded clothing, you gain +2 to Stealth checks, and gain advantage on Deception and Stealth checks to blend into a crowd. A crowd is considered to be a group of at least 3 figures.
You were also shown an advanced form of parkour granting you a climbing speed equal to your movement speed, and now avoid taking fall damage up to 20ft. In addition, if you make a successful attack at the bottom of your fall, damage increases by 1d6 per 10ft, and you take no fall damage. On a failed attack, take normal fall damage per 10ft after the initial 20ft.
To complete your initiate training you must craft your very own Assassin Blade Gauntlet, with a retractable blade attached at the wrist. You can extend and retract this blade as a free action. To construct this gauntlet you must buy the assorted materials at a cost of 50gp and then spend 1hr building your very own Assassin Blade Gauntlet. An assassin must know every inch of how the blade and gauntlet functions like it's a natural extension of your own arm. This blade does 1d4 damage and when retracted they are considered always hidden when trying to conceal a weapon.
Assassinate
Starting at 3rd level you are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.
Hidden Blades
At 9th level, the Brotherhood teaches you the art of Hidden Blades, which grants bonuses to hide or conceal multiple weapons on your person that are dagger sized or smaller. When you make a Sleight of Hand check to hide these type of weapons, in addition to any other bonuses, add double your proficiency bonus to hide the first weapon, your standard proficiency bonus for the second weapon, but no additional bonus for any additional weapon checks.
Now that you've had time to become extremely comfortable with your Assassin Blade Gauntlet, you have learned the ability to upgrade/swap out the blade of your gauntlet with any dagger of your choice. Spend 1hr to modify/upgrade your gauntlet's dagger. *This is not a one-time use skill.
In addition, when holding a dagger in your off-hand, you gain the benefits of the Two Weapon Fighting Style.
Two-Weapon Fighting Style
When you engage in two-weapon fighting, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of the second attack. (PHB 5e p.72)
Eagle's Vision
Starting at 13th level, you've awoken an energy from your bloodline that enhances your ability to see and track your targets. You learn the Eagle's Vision spell and can cast it at will as a 1st-level spell without using a spell slot or spell components. This particular spell does not require it's verbal components to activate.
Eagle's Vision
You can choose 2 figures you can see within range and mystically mark them as your targets. Until the spell ends, you deal an extra 1d6 damage to your marked targets whenever you hit them with a weapon attack.
While the targets are within range, your eagle vision marks them with a soft red glow, which allows you to see and track their aura through any means, without needing to keep line of sight with each target, even if they enter a building or use magic to conceal their location (ex. doors, walls, floors, rocks, dense forests, fog, darkness, etc..)
If a target extends outside your range, you have advantage on Perception and Survival checks to find your targets.
If a target drops to 0 hit points before this spell ends, you can use a bonus action on a subsequent turn of yours to mark a new creature.
Double Assassinate
At 17th level, you have become more effective with the use of your weapons. Once per turn, when you take the Attack action, you may make two attacks as part of the same action.
The bonus to your Stealth checks gained from hooded clothing is increased to +4.
