Base Class: Rogue
Adapted from Skip William's Races of the Wild
Many halflings are rogues, everyone knows that. Some towns are careful to befriend halfling caravans, offering honest work and a fair deal in the expectation that halflings won't steal from friends. Still other places greet halflings with violence, cruelty, and scorn, sheltering brigands and thieves who fell free to murder and rob those who are smaller than them. Halfling whisperknives seek them out, repaying murder, theft, or humiliation in the same coin.
Rapid Shot
You are proficient with all weapons that have the throw property. In addition, when you use your turn to make an attack, you can use a bonus action to make a ranged (throw) attack, not adding proficiency bonus to the roll.
Close Defense
When an enemy moves within 5 feet of you, you can move up half of your movement speed away. You can do so an amount equal to your dexterity modifier, and regain all uses when you finish a rest
Improved Catch
When someone hits you with a ranged (throw) attack, and miss, you can make a reaction to catch their weapon if you have a free hand.
Vengeful Strike
When you attack an enemy who has attacked one of your allies on their previous turn, you do an extra 2d6 damage.
