Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Among those wizards who seek to specialize their magics, are those who strive to consume any and all magic of the universe. The magic of a pantologist is the very essence of knowledge and study, stuped in the desire to learn and to master magic itself. As a pantologist, you strive to reach all corners of every realm, read every text, and ponder every possibility, all so that you can know it all. You work to master all spells of every source, weaving a web of comprehension.

Prodigious Pantology

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a spell into your spellbook is a third less than usual (rounded down).

In addition, you may copy spells into your spell book from any class’s spell list. These spells count as wizard spells for you.

Expanding Knowledge

Starting at 2nd level when you choose this school, you may add your proficiency bonus to the number of spells you can prepare from your spell book.

Spell Savant

Beginning at 6th level, when you cast three leveled spells in a row that are all of different schools of magic, you gain back a wizard spell slot equal to or less than your proficiency bonus.

In addition, when you have cast at least 1 leveled spell from every school of magic without the interruption of a long rest between them, you gain a magical mote of energy, which you can expend to take a reaction at the start of your turn, or in reaction to another creature casting a spell. Choose one of the options below.

Renounce. You may cast counterspell without expending a spell slot, regardless of if you have it prepared. Its level when you cast it is equal to your proficiency bonus.

Outward. Choose one damage type other than force, bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing. All creatures within a 30 foot radius of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, or take damage of that type equal to 5 x your wizard level on a failure, or half as much on a success.

Inward. At the beginning of your turn, you can use your action in addition to your reaction to disappear and reappear in a temporary demi-plane. During this action, you may cast two spells with a casting time of 1 action or 1 bonus action that target only you. You then reappear in the last spot you occupied, or the closest spot to it, if it has become occupied.

Limitless Comprehension

Starting at 10th level, you gain the following benefits:

  • When you gain a spell slot through your spell savant feature, and use it to cast a spell with a casting time of 1 action or 1 bonus action, you may change the casting time to 1 reaction, which you may take at the end of another creature’s turn.
  • You may choose 2 spells from any class’s spell list to add to your spell list. You may replace these spells as you gain levels in this class.
  • You have advantage on saving throws made against spells.

Magical Mastery

Starting at 14th level, you gain the following benefits:

  • Creatures you target with spell slots you gained from your spell savant feature have disadvantage on saving throws you force them to make.
  • You may choose 2 spells from any class’s spell list to add to your spell list. You may replace these spells as you gain levels in this class.
  • You may cast two leveled spells on your turn.
