Base Class: Warlock
Whether you seek the power to take what you want without being seen, gather hidden information or to kill a target without being discovered. The Shadow favors those that lurk in the dark. Spies, thieves, infiltrators and assassins all flock towards his portfolio. Your patron could be a god of the Death, Trickery or Knowledge domain. Perhaps you bargained for power from the servants of Hell's criminal mastermind, Glasya. A fickle patron that might demand a share of whatever its' subjects use their power for. A thief might have to pay a part of their looting as tribute. Or perhaps be contacted directly and given a task. Maybe to steal an extra item of value for the patron itself. Spies, infiltrators and infomation brokers might be sent on an errand to obtain some obscure knowledge or uncover deep secrets, covered up by corrupt politicians. Assassins might be sent a target, or be tasked to kill someone they encounter while on a mission, as killing is just another word for stealing a life.
The patron of those who skulk in the shadows values secrecy above all. Their subjects are unable to willingly speak the name of their patron out loud. Attempting to do so will deal 1d6 psychic damage as it scrambles your thoughts into saying a random word. This does not apply when the subject is magically forced to speak their name.
Expanded Spell List
Your Shadow Patron gifts you an expanded list of spells. The following spells are added to your spell list.

One with the Shadows
At 1st level, you gain the ability to channel shadow energy that aids you in your adventures. You have a pool of d6 that you spend to alter fate. The number of dice in the pool equals you proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier.
Whenever you make a stealth, sleight of hand, persuasion, deception or intimidation check you can choose to add 1 or multiple d6 to your roll. You may add them after you've rolled, but before you are told whether you fail or succeed.
Additionally, you can cast your spells silent and without visible somatic components by expending a shadow die. For your Mystic Arcanum spells you need to expend dice until the combined total rolled is equal to or higher than the level of the spell.
Your pool regains all expended dice when you finish a short or long rest.
At level 5, you can add your dice to the attack and damage rolls of a surprise round.
At level 11, your shadow dice increase to d8.
Ethereal Movement
At 6th level, you learn to weave yourself into the shadows around you. As a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is in dim light or darkness. You can then make a stealth check to become hidden, if you weren't already.
Using this ability while you are exposed to direct light takes a toll on your shadow magic. If you use this ability when you are not in dim light or darkness you can't use it again until after you finish a short or long rest.
Shadow Invocations
Starting at 10th level, your favor with the Shadow allows you to empower certain Invocations. Choose one of the following Invocations to make it more powerful.
You can swap the empowered invocation for any other which you have the prerequisites for whenever you gain a level in this class. Alternatively you can offer up gemstones worth 20 gold per warlock level while meditating for 2 hours per empowered invocation changed. You can also change your normal invocations during a long rest by meditating for an hour per invocation changed, the changes will come into being at the end of the long rest.
You gain an additional Shadow Invocation at levels 12, 16 and 20.
Arch-Witches' Senses
You can see the true form of any shapechanger or creature concealed by illusion or transmutation magic while the creature is within 60 feet of you and within line of sight. If there is no line of sight you may take a perception check of a hard DC, if you succeed you are aware of its' presence within the range of your sight but you cannot pinpoint its' location.
Armor of Darkness
Strengthen the AC of your mage armor to AC 15 + DEX.
Bond of Mind and Soul
Your Patron has recognized you as one of their greatest assets, and thus bestows you with even greater power. If your familiar is within 100ft of you, it can start concentrating on 1 spell or effect for you. The concentration doesn't break if it moves away more than 100ft.
Dominating Chains
You can cast hold monster at will without expending a spell slot or material components. You must finish a long rest before you can use this invocation on the same creature again.
When targeting a celestial, fiend, or elemental you can cast it as a bonus action.
Eldritch Ascendancy
You have learned all you can from your patron and have practiced to absolute mastery of his teachings, you no longer have any need to remain in their service. You break free from your patrons grasp and become a being of true shadows yourself, able to grant power to would-be warlocks.
Your deep pockets ability no longer has a weight limit as it reforms into a private realm where you can dwell amidst your hoard. You can stow any items up to a 12ft cube in size. When taking a long rest you can spend it performing a ritual, and at the end of the rest transport yourself to your pocket dimension. Inside your shadow dimension you do not suffer the effects of time passing. Leaving your shadow plane can be done at will, and you can re-appear within 10ft of where you entered. If you have a familiar, you can choose to re-appear adjacent to it instead.
You no longer need to entreat your patron when using your Eldritch Master class feature, instead you spend the minute drawing a reserve of mystical power from your shadow dimension to regain all expended spell slots. You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
Enchanting Influence
You gain expertise in Persuasion, Deception and a skill of your choice
Essence of the Moon
You no longer need to sleep, eat or drink and can't be forced to sleep by any means. To gain the benefit of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as reading your Book of Shadows and keeping watch. Alternatively, you can spend 1 hour doing light activity and expend your shadow dice until they total at least 6, and you gain all the benefits of a long rest, except replenishing your Shadow dice.
Excuisite Pact Weapon
You can use any weapon you summon with your Pact of the Blade feature as a spellcasting focus. In addition, the weapon has a +2 bonus to its attack and damage rolls, unless it is a magic weapon that already has a higher bonus. Additionally, the weapon you conjure can now also be a shortbow, longbow, light crossbow, or heavy crossbow. This feature enhances the effects of Improved Pact Weapon.
Due to DNDBeyond limitations this bonus needs to be manually added on your character sheet.
Fiendish Awareness
You gain Blindsight of 20ft
Grimoire's Lost Pages
Your Patron has recognized you as one of their greatest assets, and thus bestows you with even greater power. You can add 3 spells up to 6th level, and 2 cantrips of any spell list to your spells known
Hadars Will
When you hit a creature with your eldritch blast, you can move that creature 10 feet in any direction. This effect can only apply once per creature per turn.
Master of Shadows
When you are in an area of dim light or darkness, you can use your bonus action to become invisible until you enter a well lit area or make an attack.
Nature's Liaison
You can cast animal friendship, speak with animals, and animal messenger at-will without expending a spell slot.
Raging Blade
After using Thirsting Blade to make a second attack, you can make a third attack using a Bonus action.
This feature counts as a multiattack and does not stack with multiattacks gained from other classes' features.
Soulstealer
Your Patron has recognized you as one of their greatest assets, and thus bestows you with even greater power. Each time you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with your pact weapon, you regain 1 expended Pact Magic slot. Your Pact weapon becomes a +3 magic weapon if it wasn't already, and you can use your Charisma modifier for the attack and damage rolls made with it.
Tome of Mystical Lore
Choose any spell with the ritual tag from any class's list whose level doesn't exceed the level of your spell slots. This spell appears in your Book of Shadows. The cost and time of adding spells to your Book of Shadows is halved.
Weaver of Fate
You can cast either Bane or Bless once. You do not expend a spell slot for either and don't need material components. You can't do so again until you finish a short rest.
Deep Pockets
Starting at 14th level, you control a Pocket Dimension created out of shadows. You can stow any non-living item inside by touching it. The size of the Pocket Dimension grows to accomodate its' contents. It can hold no more than your Charisma Score x 25lbs. If you stow more than it can hold or if you attempt to stow an active light source, the Pocket Dimension becomes unstable.
you can retrieve or stow any 1 item with a bonus action.
If the Pocket dimension destabilizes, it expells all its contents in a random square adjacent to you. You can force it to expell the contents into a square of your choice within 10 feet by using a Standard Action to control it. After destabilizing, the pocket dimension will be unusable until you finish a long rest.
If you have a familiar it can be used to stow items it touches, but they cannot retrieve them. Your familiar can however be used as the center point for the destabilization, dismissing your familiar in the process.
