Oath of Angelic Tears

The Oath of Angelic Tears is made to heavenly servants(typically angels), to protect those in your charge, and suffer as much as possible so that others don't have to, earning them the name of 'Martyrs'. They will gift their life force to heal another, demand the hostile focus of the enemy to spare their allies, and draw strength from their own injuries to stay in the fight-- but they are not always alone; At times the same celestial forces who recognize their oaths may even appear to lend their support.

Tenets

Sacrifice. Never place your own well-being and comfort above those in your charge. Your life exists to protect theirs.

Resolve. Always continue on in the face of adversity, persevere when others fall short, and be prepared to end a threat permanently to ensure the lasting protection of those in your charge.

Valor. Always be prepared to stand for the lives you protect, even in the face of impossible odds.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Self-Sacrifice
As a reaction to seeing an ally being attacked within 10 ft of you, you can use your Channel Divinity to swap places with that ally. This attack must use an attack roll to hit and can be magical or nonmagical. You may use this before or after the attack roll is announced, but before any damage is applied. In either circumstance, the attack is carried out against your AC, and you take all damage of the attack (barring aside any immunities or resistances you have) if the attack hits. At 18th level, the range of this ability increases to 30 ft.

Martyr's Warcry. As an action on your turn, you can use your Channel Divinity to release a mighty battle cry. All hostile sentient creatures that can see and hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be forced to try and make at least one melee weapon attack against you if possible on their next turn. You have resistance to the damage from any attacks that hit.

Oath of Angelic Tears Spells

Aura of Martyrdom

Beginning at 7th level, you ease the pain of others around you by shouldering their wounds. Allies within 10 ft. of you ignore an amount of damage equal to twice your Charisma modifier, but all damage ignored is taken by you.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 ft.

Angel's Resolve

Starting at 15th level, you gain the ability to continue fighting not just in spite of your wounds, but with their aid as well.
If you have less than half of your maximum hit points, add your Charisma modifier to your melee attack rolls and damage rolls, as well as reduce incoming damage by your Charisma modifier.
If you have less than a quarter of your maximum hit points you may make an additional attack on your turn the first time you make an attack action.

Aspect of Tears

 At 20th level, you cease to age. As an action, you can become a paragon of the self-sacrificing hero as tears of blood begin to roll down your cheeks. For one minute, you gain the following benefits:

• Your bonuses to attack, and damage from Angel's Resolve are doubled.

• Your Aura of Martyrdom instead absorbs an amount of damage equal to 3 times your Charisma modifier, and you don't take the ignored amount.

• You have advantage on death saving throws and may fail extra death saving throws, equal the number of downed allies within 30 feet. If you choose to fail in a death save, allies within 30 feet automatically succeed in a death save.

This effect ends early if you are incapacitated or die. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
