Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who tread the Path of the Endless Hunger are brought to their rage by a primal craving for the flesh of others. Your character may be a disciple of a consuming god like Yeenoghu, part of a tribe that practices ritualistic cannibalism, or perhaps a sort of murderous hedonist who takes great pleasure in consuming other humanoids. Regardless of your character's reasons, they do not intend to stop, and gain great power when they do so.
Ravenous Consumption
At level 3, you gain the Ravenous Consumption ability. When using this ability, designate a target creature that has been deceased for no longer than 10 days. You can use this ability to consume the target creature, regaining a number of hit points equal to 25% (Rounded Up) of the creature's max hit points. Additionally, you gain 1 usage of any ability or spell of your choice that was available to the creature in the form of a Ravenous Charge. Alternatively, you can forfeit the gained Ravenous Charge to instead regain 50% (Rounded Up) of the creature's max points. You cannot gain legendary actions from this feature. If an ability inherited from this feature is passive, rather than active, you can expend your Ravenous Charge of the ability to gain it's benefits for 10 minutes. Expending a Ravenous Charge to provide a passive ability does not cost an action. Spells gained from this feature use Strength as your spellcasting modifier. The only spells that can be gained from this feature are those the player has witnessed the creature cast. Consuming a creature takes varying amounts of time depending on the creature's size relative to the player. Creatures equal to or smaller than the player in size can be consumed in a bonus action. Creatures one size larger than the player take one action to consume. Creatures two sizes larger or greater than the player require at least 10 minutes of time, the exact amount of time being at the DM's discretion.
Greater Consumption
At level 6, you gain an additional Ravenous Charge per consumption of a creature. These charges can be distributed across multiple abilities or spells, or to a single ability. For example, if the target creature had casted Fireball and Animate Dead within view of the player, the player could either acquire two charges of Fireball or one charge of Fireball and one charge of Animate Dead. Alternatively, If you had three Ravenous Hunger Charges, you could acquire one charge of Fireball and two charges of Animate Dead or simply three charges of either spell.
Appetizer
At level 10, you gain an additional Ravenous Charge per consumption of a creature that can be distributed as described in Greater Consumption. Additionally, you gain the Appetizer ability. When using this ability, designate a target creature. As a bonus action, make a biting unarmed attack on the designated target. If the attack is successful, deal the appropriate damage (or 1d4 + STR by default), and receive one Ravenous Charge from the creature as if you had used Ravenous Consumption on them. You do not regain hit points from this ability. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your strength modifier. Uses of this ability replenish over a long rest.
Conquest of Flesh
At 14th level, you gain an additional Ravenous Charge per consumption of a creature that can be distributed as described in Greater Consumption. Your hunger has grown beyond reckoning, and your body has adapted to this constant state. You no longer receive levels of exhaustion as a result of starvation. Creatures consumed using Ravenous Consumption are done so in a bonus action, regardless of size. Consumable corpses within 120 feet of you are visible to you under all circumstances and appear as a shifting blood-red silhouette when using this feature to observe them, though no complex details like their facial features or the color of their hair or skin can be seen using this feature. Once per turn in which you acquire a Ravenous Charge and your character is willing, roll a d8. Depending on the result, your character will mutate in the specified way for one minute or until another mutation occurs.
1 = You sprout wings of bleeding meat and sinew that grant you a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
2 = You gain an additional arm located on your torso resembling that of the creature you received a charge from most recently. The arm can sprout from a point of the player's choice and is as functional as the player's other arms. If the creature the arm is to resemble has no arms, the arm takes the shape of the player's arms but the texture of the creature's body.
3 = Your face cracks open, revealing a grotesque image of body horror that forces all enemies observing you to make a DC 15 Wisdom save or be frightened. If an enemy frightened by this effect has their frightened status removed, they cannot be re-frightened by this effect until you mutate this way again.
4 = Your body grows swiftly, making you one size larger.
5 = A carapace of bone quickly protrudes from your body, creating a protective layer that increases the AC bonus from Unarmored Defense by 2.
6 = Your veins are flooded by a mysterious fluid that is visible through your skin and your walking speed is doubled. This fluid is also visible in your eyes.
7 = A second pair of eyes form on the back of your head, giving you true-sight out to 10 feet.
8 = The efficiency of your digestion is increased, and each time you gain Ravenous Charges while this mutation is active, the amount of charges gained is doubled.
