Base Class: Barbarian
Most barbarians are defined by their ability to tap into fury unrivaled in the heat of battle, letting the relentless waves of anger wash over and assist them in achieving a hard-fought victory. However, a select few forego the typical rage and instead harness a similarly powerful state of pure exuberance. Their smiles, laughter, and general state of bliss simultaneously make them an invigorating boon to their allies and a jolly menace to their enemies.
Beaming Demeanor
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your happiness becomes a boon when socially interacting with others. You gain proficiency in the Persuasion skill. If you are already proficient in it, you gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Acrobatics, Animal Handling, Athletics, Insight, or Performance.
You also gain the ability to cast the *light* cantrip: you can cast and dismiss it as a bonus action and without needing verbal or material components, and raging doesn't end the spell early or stop you from casting it afterward, but you can only target yourself.
Gleeful Force
At 3rd level, your excitement radiates an aura that captivates your opponents while you rage. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.
Each creature of your choice that enters your aura or is within it at the start of each of your turns that can see or hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus) or suffer one of the following effects (your choice) that lasts until the start of your next turn:
- The target can't make opportunity attacks, can only make half its maximum number of attacks per turn, rounded down (minimum of one), and the normal and long ranges of ranged weapon attacks it makes are halved.
- The target takes a penalty equal to your Rage Damage bonus to all spell saving throw DC's and Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration on spells.
- The target's speed is halved and it can't willingly move away from you.
Vivacious Invigoration
At 6th level, your merry nature is now potent enough to energize you and your companions. As part of your rage and as a bonus action, you can focus your optimistic attitude to amp up yourself and those around you. You choose up to a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) within 30 feet of you that you can see, and they gain the following effects for the next minute:
- Whenever a targeted creature hits with an attack roll, succeeds an ability check or saving throw, wins a contest, or forces another creature to make a saving throw that they then fail, they regain 1 hit point, increasing to 2 hit points at 10th level and 3 hit points at 15th level. If any of these rolls is a 20, the amount of hit points regained is doubled.
- The creature's speed increases by 10 feet, increasing to 15 feet at 10th level and 20 feet at 15th level.
- The creature gains a bonus to Wisdom and Charisma saving throws equal to the speed increase divided by 5.
A targeted creature cannot benefit from this feature again until they finish a short or long rest.
Unconquerable Rapture
Starting at 10th level, your joy becomes much more difficult for your foes to try to fend off. You gain the effects of the *freedom of movement* spell while raging. Additionally, your Gleeful Force gains the following effects:
- You can now force any creature you hit with an attack while raging to make the saving throw.
- When a creature affected by your Gleeful Force enters your aura or is within it at the start of each of your turns, they have disadvantage on their next saving throw to attempt to resist the effect.
- Each creature currently affected by your Gleeful Force cannot willingly look away from you until the start of your next turn.
Euphoric Warp
Beginning at 14th level, the gleeful energy surging through your body can propel you towards your allies and enemies phenomenally quickly. As part of your rage and as a bonus action or a reaction when a creature makes an attack roll against you or forces you to make a saving throw while you're raging, you can teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of any creature you can see within 120 feet of you.
