Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

While most rogues stick to the shadows, Enforcers don't mind a little action. Rather than assassins and pickpockets, Enforcers are street toughs, gang members, or even lawmen-- rogues who don't mind getting their hands dirty and facing challenges head-on with a mix of luck, skill, and grit.

True Grit

At 3rd level, your inner resolve gives you an edge in combat. At this level, you gain 2 Grit Dice, which are each a d6. The amount of Grit Die you have increases with Sneak Attack damage, and you regain all expended Grit Die after a short or long rest.

Ready to Act

At 9th level, you're always ready for things to go sour. When you roll an initiative roll, athletics check, or intimidation check, you can roll a Grit Die and add the number rolled to your total.

Cheap Shot

At 13th level, your Grit Die increases to a d8 as you master the art of fighting dirty. When you land an attack, you can use one Grit Die and add the roll to your damage, as well as impose one of the following effects on your target:

  • Eye Gouge - The target must roll a Constitution saving throw if it relies on sight. On a failed save, the target blinded until the end of its next turn.
  • Leg Sweep - The target (if Large or smaller) must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target falls prone.
  • Below the Belt - The target must make a Dexterity throw. On a failed save, their movement is halved until the end of their next turn, and they cannot take reactions.

Grit Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier.

If you use this feature on a Sneak Attack, the target makes their saving throw with disadvantage.

Glutton for Punishment

At 17th level, you can tap into your inner resolve to stay in the fight longer. Whenever you roll a Grit Die, you may heal an amount equal to the number rolled + your Constitution modifier.

Additionally, if you roll initiative and do not have any Grit Die remaining, you gain 1 Grit Dice. You may not add this Dice to your initiative roll.
