Monk
Base Class: Monk

 Everyone knows the might and magical forces of the Chromatic and Metallic dragons; Their powers over the elements. While all dragons are magical, Gem Dragons' have a reach into the less tangible forces of magic.

Potential origins for your powers are as follows;

1. You found a somewhat recently destroyed Dragon's Egg, whose spirit bonded with you.
2. After providing some form of gift, information, or favor to a dragon, they granted you power in return.
3. You were born in the territory of a gem dragon.
4. You trained or grew up in a community that serves dragons.
5. You found a scroll written in Draconic that contained inspiring new techniques.
6. A collection of gems that came into your possession were actually Gem Dragon scales, and you absorbed their power.

Sapphire Insight

You can channel draconic power to magnify your presence and imbue your unarmed strikes with the essence of a dragon’s breath. You gain the following benefits:

Clarity of Crystals. Once per short rest, you can use your reaction to re-roll a failed Insight, Investigation, or Perception check, calling back on the endless knowledge and wisdom of Gem Dragons.

Density of Stones. You have advantage on saving throws that would cause Fear, Confused actions, or Stunning.

Amethyst Discovery

You unleash a powerful roar or breath attack. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace any one of your attacks with burst of power in either a 20-foot cone or a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide (your choice). Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC, taking damage of the chosen type equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

The type of damage it deals determines which direction in can go in. Some attack types can be used behind you due to the nature of their power. While others ignore cover, or create a radius effect that harms all others in the vicinity.

Amethyst | Force Damage | 360 Degrees Around
Crystal | Radiant Damage | 360 Degrees Around & Enemies don't benefit from cover.
Emerald | Pyschic Damage | 20 ft. spherical radius with you as the center.
