Base Class: Rogue
Not all Rogues that dwell in the shadows are lean and agile. Some are burly and brutish, using whatever they can get their hands on to get the job done. As a Thug, you are considered the muscle. Used as hired goons, bodyguards for less than savory characters, or enforcers to uphold whatever order you have been paid to uphold. Your mere presence alone can cause your enemies to waver.
A Thug tends to get into a scraps, intimidate their opponents, and work along with their companions in beating down anyone or anything that gets in their way.
Work Em Over
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn that a weapon does not have to be fancy or small to get the job done. When use your Sneak Attack, the requirement to use a weapon with the Finesse is ignored. You are also proficient with 1 martial weapon of your choosing.
Shakedown
Starting at 3rd level, you manhandle your opponents. The Grappling and Shoving actions count as part of your Cunning Actions. In addition, you have advantage on attacks against creatures that are grappled.
Menacing Stance
At 9th level, your very presence unnerves those around you. As an action, you can make a Charisma (Intimidation) check contested by a creature's Wisdom (Insight) check. The creature must be able to see you in order for this ability to activate.
If you succeed on the check, the creature becomes frightened for 1 minute. While frightened, the creature can only make one attack on it's turn. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus) at the end of it's turn in order to no longer be frightened.
Hold Up
Starting at 13th level, you can use your enemies as protection. When you grapple a creature your size, you gain the benefit of half cover. When you grapple a creature one size larger than yourself, you gain the benefit of three quarters cover. Any attacks that hit you, you take half damage and the creature you are grappling takes half damage.
'Ere Ya Go Boys
Beginning at 17th level, you work alongside your companions to bring the pain. When you grapple a creature, all attack rolls made onto the creature are at advantage.
In addition, after your turn, the first hit against the grappled creature made by an ally rolls Sneak Attack damage along with their normal damage.
