Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Your Barbarian character becomes one with their demonic and infernal selves, unleashing it into a display of hellfire and demonized power over anyone and everyone that you fight. This Barbarian subclass is designed to accommodate fire-based fighting styles along with relentless pursuit thanks to the strength buffs that this subclass receives as they gain levels.

This Homebrew subclass is intended to be combined with demon and devil races such as Tieflings, yet I personally use it with the "Gnoll" homebrew race, which is created by user "Redmond".

Note: I am in no way sponsored by user Redmond by any means, but I felt that I needed to create some kind of Barbarian subclass that could go along with this. The jaws and claws of the Gnoll combined with the chances to deal more damage was giving me the perfect inspiration for creating this subclass! Be sure to take a look at their Homebrew creation and show them some support!

Infernal Strikes

At 3rd level, you can channel the infernal spark within your rage and utilize it into your wild fighting skills, shedding out flames among the spilled blood. When performing an unarmed strike or melee weapon attack while raging, you can choose to roll and add 1d4 to the damage dealt as Fire damage. If your main type of damage for this attack already deals Fire damage, you cannot use this feature. This bonus Fire damage increases as you gain levels, becoming 2d4 at 6th level, 3d4 at 10th level, and 4d4 at 14th level. Once you use this feature a number of times equal to 1.5x your Barbarian level (Rounded up), you must take a long rest to regain all expended uses. If your rage ends and you have not expended all available uses, then you can perform either a short or long rest to regain your expended uses.

Barbaric Echoes

At 6th level, rage is more than a means of making yourself stronger. It is a means of your flame-birthed life. After your rage ends, however it may end, you retain your advantages on Strength checks and Strength saving throws until the end of your next turn. During this time, you cannot enter rage again until the effect of this feature has ended.

Fiery Evocation

At 10th level, you gain access to a variety of fire-based spells thanks to your infernal blood. You can cast the Fire Bolt cantrip for 1d10 damage regardless of your level, and the Immolation spell as an action on each of your turns. You cannot use this feature if you had casted either spell or if you used your Infernal Strikes ability on your last turn. When you cast Immolation with this feature, flames burst out from your body, and the spell instead targets and affects all creatures within 5 ft. of your location. You do not have to make saving throws against your own spell in this way, unless stated by other means. The affected creatures will automatically fail their original saving throw, yet they can still perform their latter saving throws to end the spell. Charisma is your spellcasting modifier for both of these spells. Once you have casted Fire Bolt a number of times up to half your Barbarian level, or you cast Immolation twice, you must finish a long rest to be able to use this feature again.

Demonized Bloodlust

At 14th level, the urge to make your enemies bleed is insatiable, forming you into a restless and destructive force of demonic proportions. All Fire damage that you deal as a part of your attacks are stronger against your opponents defenses against Fire damage. Resistance to Fire damage is ignored, and immunities are treated as resistances, which are not also affected by this feature (Immunities become resistances, but the resistance isn't removed by the effect of this feature). This ability does not apply to any spells that are cast that deal Fire damage, such as Fireball or Hellish Rebuke. In addition, you can add your proficiency bonus to all attack rolls you make that deal Fire damage as the main source of damage. Your Infernal Strikes feature will not be able to activate this ability, because it adds fire damage to the attack instead of it being the main source of the attack's damage.
