Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

You focus your training on the art of the blade, relying on speed, elegance. While some warriors are brutes clad in heavy armor, your method of fighting looks almost like a performance.

A Duelist excels in fighting with two weapons.

Duelist's flurry

At 3rd level, you have become combat adapt and swift.

When you make a weapon attack (whether you hit or not), you can make another attack with your off-hand weapon (or unarmed) against a creature that is within range of your weapon. You can use this feature once per turn, and once per round as a result of a reaction (like a Opportunity Attack or a Duel Technique).

Duel Techniques

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn one duel technique of your choice. A duel technique can be used as a reaction.

You learn one additional technique of your choice at 7th, 10th, and 15th level. Each time you learn a new technique, you can also replace one technique you know with a different one.

Saving Throws. Some of your techniques require your target to make a saving throw to resist the technique’s effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:

Technique save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice)

Counter-attack

When a creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against it.

Feint

Whenever a creature makes an attack roll against you and doesn’t have advantage on the roll, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on it. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target has disadvantage on the attack.

You must use this feature before you know the outcome of the attack roll.

Lunging Strike

When a creature you can see moves into the reach you have with the melee weapon you’re wielding, you can use your reaction to make an melee attack against the creature.

Parry

When you are wielding a melee weapon with which you are proficient and another creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to add your proficiency bonus to your AC for that attack, potentially causing the attack to miss you.

Precision Strike

You learn to attack with such unexpected speed that you can turn a miss into another strike. When you miss with a weapon attack, you can use your reaction to make another weapon attack as part of the same action/bonus-action.

Riposte

When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the creature.

Enhanced Reflexes

You have honed your skills in combat, and have gained enhanced reflexes. You can take an additional reaction each round.

Evasion

When you are subjected to an effect, such as a red dragon’s fiery breath or a lightning bolt spell, that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

Superior Reflexes

Starting at 15th level, you have mastered the art of dueling and combat and have aquired superior reflexes. You gain an additional reaction each round.
