Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Gravity Ravager are ones who either innately have a connection with the dunamantic magics of a beacon or have otherwise been exposed to extreme gravitational magic. Whether it be through beacon, spell, or some other supernatural force, these barbarians have what seems to be a mastery of suffusing gravity with the abilities of their combative rage.
These barbarians are most notably recognized by the fields of shifting chaotic gravity that surrounds them as they storm through a battlefield or can even be seen temporarily warping space around them to keep their enemies close. Some of these combatants even manage to harness what seems to be some of the universe's most dangerous phenomena.
Gravity Field
Starting at 3rd level, you emanate a chaotic, magical gravitational aura while you rage. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.
Your aura has an effect that activates when you enter your rage, and you can activate a different effect each time you rage. Roll a d4 for the Gravity Surge table below. Your aura has an effect based on what effect you roll on the Gravity Surge table.
If your aura’s effects require a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.
| D4 | EFFECT |
|---|---|
| 1 | Any creatures within your aura's range must make a CON saving throw or have their movement speed reduced by half. |
| 2 | You teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Until your rage ends, you can use this effect again on each of your turns as a bonus action. |
| 3 | Any creatures within your aura's range must make a CON saving throw or suffer disadvantage on attacks made against creatures outside of your aura's range. |
| 4 | Your attacks deal an additional 1d6 force damage as you multiply the force of gravity on your weapon. |
Density Shift
Light
You gain a +10 increase to your movement speed and have advantage on all dexterity checks.
Weightless
You gain a hover speed equal to your walking speed but lose the ability to walk for the duration.
Heavy
You move at half your movement speed & have disadvantage on dexterity based checks while heavy but have advantage on strength based checks and you deal an additional 1d12 force damage with your melee weapon attacks.
Gravity Center
At 10th level, you learn to use your mastery over gravity to become a center of it, pulling in all those who'd oppose you. As a bonus action while raging you can activate your gravity center. This field of gravity has a radius of 25ft. and passes through walls no thicker than 10ft. Any creatures of your choice within range of your gravity center must succeed on a Strength saving throw when they start their turn within the gravity field. On a success, nothing happens. On a failure, that creature suffers disadvantage on attack rolls & moves 5ft. towards you at the end of each of it's turns.
Raging Gravity Storm
At 14th level, the power of gravity you channel grows mightier, manifesting as a storm of gravitational energy around you when you rage.
When you begin your rage you can select a number of creatures equal to your Constitution modifier. If the creature is unwilling, they must succeed on a Strength saving throw or suffer one of the effects below of your choice. You can give the same effect to each creature or specify which creatures get what effect.
- The creature gains an additional 10 feet of movement.
- The creature's movement speed becomes 0.
- The creature can use the Disengage and Dash action as a bonus action.
- The creature suffers an additional 1d12 force damage whenever hit with a ranged or melee weapon attack.
- The creature gains advantage on Dexterity or Strength based checks.
- At the end of the creature's turn, they are shunted 10ft away from you.
