Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Some people are gifted with power. This power has been manifested in many ways. In this case, it allows the barbarian to manifest their anger into a physical being called a Spirit Warrior that fights alongside the barbarian to unleash flurries of attacks across the battlefield. Has your Spirit Warrior appeared due to divine intervention? Could it simply be a family trait passed down the bloodline to you? Or perhaps you have been stabbed by a magical arrow granting you the strength of the Spirit Warrior. Consider where you received this powerful gift when following the Path of the Spirit Warrior.

Spirit Awakening

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your rage is replaced by Spirit Awakening. When you activate Spirit Awakening, a ghastly specter appears from within yourself and hovers around you to aid you in your fight. This Spirit Warrior is immune to all damage and cannot be targeted by an attack or spell or interacted with in any way. This ability acts exactly as rage does, except the benefits are provided to you through your Spirit Warrior as opposed to your anger. For example, when you are hit with an attack which deals bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, your Spirit Warrior would help block the attack granting you resistance. Or if you need to make a Strength (athletics) check, your Spirit Warrior helps you, granting you advantage on the roll. When you take make an attack roll during Spirit Awakening, you may choose to have your Spirit Warrior attack in your stead. The attack uses your normal attack and damage rolls, except the attack has an extra 20 feet of range, as your Spirit Warrior flies to the target to make it's attack followed by immediately returning to your side.

In addition, during Spirit Awakening, you gain proficiency in unarmed strikes if you don't already have it, as your Spirit Warrior specializes in punching. When you use your Spirit Warrior to attack with an unarmed strike, the damage dice for the attack is 1d4 and you may attack with another unarmed strike as a bonus action.

Refined Control

Beginning at 6th level, you can summon your Spirit Warrior outside of Spirit Awakening with  limited ability. As an action, you can have your Spirit Warrior perform simple actions as per the mage hand spell.

Outstanding Strength

Beginning at 10th level, your Spirit Warrior has become incredibly strong. As an action, you can summon your Spirit Warrior to target a creature up to 20 feet away. They must succeed their choice of a Strength (Athletics) check or a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check contested by your Strength (Athletics) check or become grappled by your Spirit Warrior until the end of your turn. During which time, you may command your Spirit Warrior to carry them up to 20 feet in any horizontal direction as long as your Spirit Warrior stays within a 20 foot radius of you. After your Spirit Warrior has moved them, the creature is thrown to the ground and your Spirit Warrior returns to you.

If you use this ability during Spirit Awakening, you may use your bonus action to make one unarmed strike using your Spirit Warrior against the grappled creature before is thrown to the ground.

Beat Down

Starting at 14th level, your Spirit Warrior has become adept at unleashing a flurry of punches. You can now make 2 unarmed strikes as a bonus action instead of one when you use your action to make an unarmed strike with your Spirit Warrior.
