Base Class: Bard
On a first look people may be confused, "Are you a Bard or a Wizard" but ignore them you're clearly smarter by having paid those high tuition fees! Unlike many Bards, you've actually gone to college to study magic. This process was long, painful, and expensive, but doing so gave you an immense knowledge of magic and the world around you. While wizards focus on the magic within oneself and a druid might focus on the magic around them, you focus on both. The years of study allow you to use your INT as your spellcasting ability. Bards of this college thrive to spread knowledge to the more unfortunate. Ever wonder where other bards learn their stories to share, odds are they learnt it from a member of the College of the Arcane.
Academic Prowess
Your spellcasting ability has shifted from CHA to INT. Similarly Bardic Inspiration is now based on you INT instead of CHA.
Arcane Perception
Also at 3rd level, you learn how to use your wit to notice magic where others would be blind. By using your bardic inspiration you can cast identify or detect magic. You needn’t have these spells known to cast them with this feature.
Wizard Co-Enrollment
At 6th level, you learn how to use your very own spell book, you can choose to use this as your spell casting focus. This book has the potential to hold a near infinite number of spells, however only two spells can be prepared at once. To swap out spell(s) you must do so during a long rest, doing this feature again takes 1d4 days for 2 spells and 1d2 days for one spell. Adding new spells to the book costs the base amount of gold and the time equivalent to the level of the spell until you join a school of magic.
Arcane Professor
Starting at 14th level, you can choose to join your own school of magic from the core 8 (conjugation, necromancy, evocation, abjuration, transmutation, divination, enchantment, illusion) doing so gives you the benefit of learning spells from that school in half the time and half the gold.
