Base Class: Barbarian
Some barbarians levy their great strength to make the most of any situation. While they may carry their own weapons, they'll utilize whatever is on hand to get the job done. Improvisers are just as handy with a bar stool as a blade. They excel at getting objects from point A to point B, whether those objects are javelins, rocks, or even enemies.
Problem Solver
Starting when you adopt this path at 3rd level, you have learned to turn anything into a lethal weapon. You gain proficiency with improvised weapons, which do 1d8. Improvised weapons have the thrown(range 20/60) and versatile(1d10) properties for you. This damage and range will increase at 6th, 10th, and 14th levels.
6: 1d10, Thrown(40/120), Versatile(1d12)
10: 1d12, Thrown(80/240), Versatile(2d8)
14: 2d8, Thrown(160/480), Versatile(2d10)
Additionally, you can add your rage damage to ALL attacks made using strength.
Bear Hug
Also at 3rd level, you have learned to adapt traditional grappling techniques to creatures of many shapes and sizes. You treat creatures as one size smaller when grappling them. At 6th level this will increase to two sizes, at 10th three size, and at 14th four sizes.
Body Shield
Beginning at 6th level, you have learned to use others to defend you, whether willingly or not. When grappling a creature, you use them as a shield, granting half cover if they are your size or one size smaller than you, and three quarters cover if they are larger than you. This cover does not apply to the target of your grapple.
Good Teamwork
At 10th level you've learned to use the target of your grapples not just for defense, but offense as well. You can use a grappled creature as an improvised weapon which in most cases deals bludgeoning damage. Any damage dealt is split evenly between the grappled creature and the target of the attack, with the higher of the two numbers going to the target of the attack in the case of an odd number.
Battlefield Blacksmith
Starting at 14th level, your mastery of improvisational weaponry is unparalleled. Using a grappled creature as a weapon now does full damage to both it and the target of the weapon attack. Additionally, while wielding an improvised weapon your AC increases by 2. Finally, once per rage you are able to use your action to throw a large object. This is a thrown weapon attack which deals 8d12 damage to a creature, as well as to any creatures within 5 feet of it.

Posted Mar 31, 2022Might be over tuned, haven't had the opportunity to playtest yet. I'm generally of the opinion Barbarians are the worst scaling class in 5e, so I tried to give reasons to take them past 8th level.
