Storms Wrath

At 3rd level, you can thunderously rebuke attackers. When a creature within 5 feet of you that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to cause the creature to make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes 2d8 lightning or thunder damage (your choice) on a failed saving throw, and half as much damage on a successful one. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

 Disciple of the Storm

At 3rd level, choose 2 cantrips from any spells with air, thunder, lightning or cloud effects. Choose another at 6th level. You have access to the following Cantrips, Shocking Grasp, Booming Blade, Gust, Frostbite, and Lightning Lure.

Thunderous Strike

At 3rd level, When you make an unarmed strike as part of your attack action, you can choose to inflict electrical damage instead of normal damage. This damage counts as being magical. The deafening strike forces the target and those within 5 feet to make a Strength Save or be thrown back 10 feet. At 6th level this also extends to your Monk weapons.

Soul of the Storm

At 6th level, you know the Storm Mastery discipline (see below) and two storm disciplines of your choice. You learn two additional storm disciplines of your choice at 6th, and one additional storm discipline at 11th, and 17th level. Whenever you learn a new storm discipline, you can also replace one storm discipline that you already know with a different discipline.

Casting Storm Spells. Some storm disciplines allow you to cast spells. See chapter 10 for the general rules of spellcasting. To cast one of these spells, you use its casting time and other rules, but you don't need to provide material components for it. Instead you spend Ki equal to the level of the spell, which in the case of any cantrips you gain is 0 Ki.

Once you reach 6th level in this class, you can spend additional ki points to increase the level of a storm discipline spell that you cast, provided that the spell has an enhanced effect at a higher level. The spell's level increases by 1 for each additional ki point you spend. For example, if you are a 6th-level monk and use Lightning Bolt Strike to cast Shocking Grasp, you can spend 3 ki points to cast it as a 2nd-level spell (the discipline's base cost of 2 ki points plus 1).

The maximum number of ki points you can spend to cast a spell in this way (including its base ki point cost and any additional ki points you spend to increase its level) is determined by your monk level, as shown in the Spells and Ki Points table. Choose storm disciplines at each level from those shown below.
