Base Class: Rogue
Those who choose this subclass are driven by the hope for inflicting pain on those who have hurt them, making bloodlust and revenge their driving motives
Bonus Proficiency
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the poisoner’s kit and a skill of your choice.
Marked for Death
Starting at 3rd level, you can focus your vengeance toward one creature.
As a bonus action, you mark a creature of your choice within 30ft of you as your quarry. While the creature is marked, you gain the following benefits:
- When rolling weapon damage against the marked creature, any roll of 2 or lower is treated as a 3.
- When the marked creature hits you with a weapon attack, you may use your reaction to move up to half your movement speed(rounded down) without provoking opportunity attacks from the marked creature.
- you gain advantage on CHA(Intimidation) checks against the marked creature, but have disadvantage on CHA(Persuasion) checks against the marked creature.
- If the marked creature is reduced to 0 hitpoints, you may use a reaction to move your mark to a different creature within 30ft of you without expending a use of this ability.
A creature becomes unmarked if you do not deal or take damage from it in one round, or if you drop the mark as a bonus action.
You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Dexterity Modifier and regain all expended uses at the end of a Short Rest.
Student of Vengence
At 9th level, you’ve become wise to the words of those you sway into your vengeful gaze.
You gain expertise in WIS(Insight) checks.
Additionally, when making a WIS(Insight) or CHA(Intimidation) check against a marked creature, you may treat any D20 roll of 9 or less as a 10.
Revenge Flurry
Starting at 13th level, you have committed yourself to inflicting endless pain on those you see fit.
You may make two attacks as part of a single attack action when attacking a marked creature.
Additionally, when you reduce a marked creature to 0 hitpoints and move your mark to a different creature, you may make a weapon attack against that creature as part of the reaction.
Erratic Vengeance
Starting at 17th level, you become an expert of insatiable and unpredictable pain.
Whenever you deal Sneak Attack damage to an unmarked creature, you may treat any roll of 2 or lower as a 3, the creature instantly becomes marked without a use of the Mark for Death ability. The mark does not apply to the attack you made to inflict it.
