Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who take the Oath of Moonlight vow to seek out those things that go bump in the night. Often forgotten or unknown, these paladins more often than not carry out their deeds thanklessly. Due to their devotion to the night and the moon, and the good they represent, the Oath of Moonlight has strong ties to Sehanine herself. When a sound is heard alone in a dark wood, there's a good chance that its a paladin of this order chasing away the dark.

TENETS OF MOONLIGHT

Protectors from the dark, and prowlers of the night. While they may have different bailiwicks, paladins of the Oath of Moonlight share the following tenets:

Moon's Shadow. One should walk in the shadow of the moon, being discreet whenever possible, and never outwardly boastful.

Predator in Darkness. Lurking horrors, vampyr, werebeasts, and all manner of creatures stalk the night. To make the darkness safe for those who need its protection is a righteous cause.

Indulgences of the Night. Be it trysts, care for your work, or familial loyalty, passion and love is sacred.

Unbridled and Untethered. The past is something to be learned from, but one should never be weighed down by it. Learn from mistakes, and strive to forge new memories

Hunter's Acumen

When you chose this oath, your spellcasting ability for this class becomes Intelligence instead of Charisma.

Additionally, your Divine Sense ability now detects Undead, Fiends and Aberrations instead, and uses your Intelligence modifier to determine the number of uses.

Eyes of the Blood Moon

When you reach 3rd level as an Oath of Moonlight paladin, you gain darkvision up to 60 feet.

Oath Spells

Oath of Moonlight Spells

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following Channel Divinity option:

Luminescence. As an bonus action, you may cover a melee weapon you are holding in a shimmering white light. The weapon becomes a ranged weapon with range increments of 20/60 feet, and deals force damage instead of the weapon's regular damage for 1 minute. After you make an attack with this weapon, it immediately reappears in your hand. On subsequent turns for the duration, you may use a bonus action to convert the weapon to either its normal or luminescent form.

You may dismiss this effect on your turn as a free action. If you are no longer holding or carrying this weapon, or if you fall unconscious, this effect ends.

Aura of Twilight

Beginning at 7th level, your connection with the moon has deepened, enveloping you and your allies in its embrace. You and creatures you designate as allies within 10 feet of you gain resistance to cold and necrotic damage, and can see through magical darkness to a range of 20 feet, while you are conscious.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet. And creatures affected by it can see through magical darkness up to a range of 60 feet.

Tempered Against the Darkness

Beginning at 15th level, you are always under the effects of a protection from evil and good spell.

Conduit of Moonlight

At 20th level, your connection with it is so strong, that you are gifted a fragment of the power of the moon itself. As a conduit of its power, you gain the following abilities:

  • You gain immunity to necrotic damage.
  • Damage you deal ignores resistance, furthermore if a creature has immunity then it is treated as if they had resistance instead.

Additionally, when you are in moonlight, you gain the following effects:

  • Your attacks deal an additional 2d6 radiant damage.
  • Your darkvision extends to 120 feet, and you gain truesight out to a distance of 60 feet.
