Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

For many barbarians, especially those in tune with the power of revelry, raging involves a complex dance incorporating allies and enemies alike. The Path of the Battledancer is common among those who view combat as an expression of their inner lives and emotions. When you enter your rage it is fueled by artistic expression and flowing motion, rather than anger or hatred.

Battledance

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you evoke a revelrous dance of fury when you rage, provided you aren’t wearing heavy armor or using a shield. It grants you supernatural speed, agility, and focus. If you do so, you gain the following benefits during your rage:

  • You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1).
  • Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
  • You have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks.
  • When you move, you do not provoke opportunity attacks from creatures you have hit with an attack this turn.

Soul of Revel

Additionally at 3rd level, your connection to primal revelry brings you an innate talent in the art of dance. You gain proficiency in the Performance skill if you don’t already have it.

Reveler’s Cambré

At 6th level, your flowing movements can impart additional combat advantage over other fighters. While you are in a Battledance rage, you gain the following benefits:

  • When you’re prone, you can stand up by spending 5 feet of movement, rather than half your speed.
  • When an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to reduce that damage by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier plus your proficiency bonus.

Dance of Resilience

At 10th level, your attunement to primal revelry grants you resilience to certain types of negative effects imposed on your mind. You gain proficiency in Charisma saving throws. If you already have this proficiency, you instead gain proficiency in Intelligence or Wisdom saving throws (your choice).

Steps of Power

Additionally at 10th level, your furious dancing style can increase the power of your strikes. If you have moved at least 15 feet during your turn and you are in a Battledance rage you may empower your strikes with inertial strength. You can add your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1) to the attack roll of your melee weapon attacks this turn.

You may empower your strikes in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Revelrous Motion

At 14th level, your dancing battle style intertwines with other combatants around you. Whenever you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, you may move up to half your speed as part of that reaction. You do not provoke opportunity attacks during that movement.

Ethereal Dance

Additionally at 14th level, your connection to primal revelry and the grace within allows you to slip through the boundaries of the material world. When you enter a Battledance rage you cast blink as part of that bonus action without expending a spell slot.
