Base Class: Druid
What happens when you take the shapeshifting practices of druids and add in the powerful psychic abilities of a psionic? Well, druids within the Circle of Assimilation would have you believe that you get a normal druid with a few interesting little quirks. If you were to go asking more questions beyond that, you'd find yourself unable to trust anyone is who they say they are ever again. Well, it's either that, or someone who looks like you, talks like you, and might even be you might just show you how malleable your free will is.
Psionic Awakening
You can form a telepathic connection between your mind and the mind of another. As a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You and the chosen creature can communicate telepathically with each other while the two of you are within a number of miles of each other equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1 mile). You do not need to share a known language in order to understand each other.
The telepathic connection lasts for a number of minutes equal to your druid level. It ends early if you are incapacitated or die or if you use this ability to form a connection with a different creature.
Body Snatch
The rites of your circle grant you the ability to possess another individual instead of transforming into a beast. In order to attempt to possess another creature, they must:
- Be within five feet of you.
- Be small or medium in size.
- Alive, conscious, and naturally corporeal.
- Know at least one language.
- Have a CR equal to half your druid level (rounded down) or less.
If the above criteria is met, then you can use an action in an attempt to possess a creature. Your target must make a Constitution or Wisdom saving throw (their choice) against your spell save DC. On a failure, you expend a use of your Wild Shape as your physical form melds into theirs and your will supersedes their own for a number of minutes equal to half your druid level (rounded down). If the possessed creature can cast spells, then you may cast their spells at their expense. Your possession of a creature ends if you or the possessed creature fall unconscious, drop to 0 hit points, die, or if you deliberately attempt to force the possessed creature to commit suicide. When a possession ends, you are ejected both mentally and physically from the creature you possessed into the nearest empty and adjacent space that will fit you. Additionally, the same rules apply to your possession as they do to if you used your Wild Shape to turn into a beast.
Starting at 6th level, you can possess stronger creatures. Instead of needing a CR equal to half your druid level or less, you can possess creatures equal to your druid level minus your proficiency bonus.
Circle Spells
By awakening your psionic potential, you gain the ability to cast spells that a druid would otherwise be unable to cast. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle spells connected to your psionic abilities.
Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Dual Bodied
Starting at 6th level, you gain advantage on Constitution and Wisdom saving throws while possessing another creature.
Body Snatch
The rites of your circle grant you the ability to possess even stronger creatures. Starting at 6th level, you can possess creatures with a CR equal to your druid level minus your proficiency bonus.
Greater Parasitize
At 10th level, you can expend two uses of Wild Shape at the same time when possessing a creature to possess that creature for twice as long as usual.
Total Assimilation
By 14th level, you have have become strong enough to not only possess others, but to be able to assimilate them into your being. While possessing a creature, you can spend one minute fully assimilating their being into yours. Assimilating a creature conveys the following benefits:
- You know any languages they knew.
- You know any information they had.
- You can shift between your physical form and theirs as a bonus action, gaining and losing any movement, perception, and resistance traits associated with either one, respectively.
- You gain advantage on Charisma (Deception) checks to impersonate the assimilated creature.
However, assimilating another creature into yourself is draining and can only be done once per long rest. Additionally, you can only assimilate one person at a time; assimilating another creature will overwrite the gained benefits of the previously assimilated creature.
