Bard
Base Class: Bard

While some people like to admit to their shortcomings as an act of humility, the Bards of Bullshit know everything, or at least that's what they tell other people.

Whether it be due to nefarious materialism, a massive ego, or supremely misplaced self confidence, these bards can speak and act with unreasonable and unquestionable assurance, sometimes even displacing or discrediting true experts in the field.

The name itself is a product of sarcastic derision from other bards. There is no actual location or organization called the College of Bullshit, and any gathering of such like-minded bards would quickly degenerate into either a circle of self and mutual ingratiation, or an explosive clash of egos.

Sheer Audacity

Your overwhelming confidence overshadows any reasonable trust in expert opinion.

Upon reaching the 3rd level, your opponents in any contest of Persuasion suffer disadvantage, unless the subject of the Persuasion is personally privy to your lies. Any opposing check to your Deception(s) must also be made with disadvantage.

Just Wingin' It

While other people may have reservations about performing acts outside their area of expertise, with enough sheer gall, you can do anything.

Also at the 3rd level, you gain one skill proficiency due to mastery by experience. You also learn to perform with confidence, and can make any roll with advantage three times per long rest.

Master of All Magic

At the 6th level, your skill at improvisation extends to even magic. While other people may spend years of study and practice to master a spell, you're brave enough to attempt to reproduce magic which you may not even understand. Once per long rest, you may choose to cast any spell from any class. The spell must be of a level that you can cast, and will expend an appropriately leveled spell slot, but will only inflict half the amount of damage, last half as long in duration, and any saving throws will be made without proficiency bonus. The necessary spell components must also be present.

Truth is Relative

You've bluffed so much, so confidently, and with so much success, that you've become the lie.

Starting at the 14th level, through advanced self hypnosis, you can change your alignment once per long rest with no affect on your personality or modes of action. Any divination magic that targets you will automatically fail or provide a result favorable to you, and any feats working against your Deception will also fail or be ignored. Any character who has ever been convinced by your Persuasion can be Persuaded again with advantage.
