Monk
Base Class: Monk

The motto of the monks who follow the Way of The Hummingbird is 'even water can cut through rock if it moves fast enough'. The masters of this discipline teach how to enhance the mind such that the world around its users slow.

Reflexive Counter

Beginning at 3rd level, your quick mind and your impressive study of your foe allows you to use their failure to your advantage.

When a creature misses you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to make an unarmed strike against your attacker if they are within range. Moreover, you can use your reaction even if you are surprised.

Improved Unarmored Movement

Also at 3rd level, your body rapidly catches up with your mind.

Your walking speed increases by 10 ft. You gain an additional 5 ft. of walking speed when you reach 6th, 11th, and 17th level in this class.

Eyes of the Hummingbird

At 6th level, your reflexes have become so honed that you now see the world as slower than usual.

Once per turn, if you have already taken your reaction, you can spend a ki point to take an additional reaction. You can only use one reaction per triggering circumstance.

Hummingbird's Beat

At 11th level, your body can strike even faster now.

You can attack three times instead of twice when you take the Attack action on your turn.

Blur of the Opal Step

At 17th level, your speed becomes legendary.

As an action, you can expend 4 ki points to cast the Haste spell, targeting yourself only. When casting this spell in this way, you do not require any components, or concentration. Finally, while under the effect of this spell cast in this way, your jump distance is tripled.
