Base Class: Bard
placeholder temporary description
Shocking Performance
At 3rd level, you learn how to weave your words and music in a way that channels the arcing static of storms yet to form. When an ally who has been given bardic inspiration hits with an attack roll without using their inspiration die, they may instead choose to expend it in order to deal lightning damage equal to the number rolled. If the chosen target is wearing metallic armor, your ally may add your charisma modifier to the damage rolled.
Discordant Thunder
Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to channel the chaotic nature of the storm through your discordant melody, disrupting the casting of spells. As a reaction when a creature you can see casts a spell of a level equal to or lower than your proficiency bonus, you may instead take lightning damage equal to twice the spell level being cast in order to halt its casting. If the spell is above the level of your proficiency bonus, make a charisma check against the DC of 10 plus spell level minus your proficiency bonus. This can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Feedback Storm
At 14th level, your ability to channel chaos through your performances has enhanced your ability to disrupt spellcasters, sharing the damage dealt with them and their allies. When you utilise your Discordant Thunder feature, the target also takes the same amount of lightning damage. The damage then jumps between enemy creatures within 20ft, halving for each target damaged, until it reaches 2 or lower.
In addition, you gain access to the following spells:
- Call Lightning
- Storm Sphere
- Chain Lightning
They count as Bard spells, and utilise your charisma modifier.
