Your innate magic is a form of fey magic, coming from the Feywild an "echo" of the Prime Material Plane suffused with potent magic, full of nature and life in abundance, either via a connection to the plane itself or the blood of it's people. Perhaps you were blessed by a fey being, had a fey ancestor, are the reincarnated soul of an archfey who died recently. However this came to be, your soul is full of life and grants you powerful magic from the power of your emotions. Where ever you go your joyful laughter brightens the hearts of the downtrodden, and your magical mayhem strikes fear and or embarrassment  into your enemies.

Fey Magic

1st-level Whimsical Soul feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Fey Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an Illusion or a Conjuration spell from the sorcerer, druid, or bard spell list.

In addition, consult the Erratic Manifestations table and choose or randomly determine a way your connection between your magic and emotions manifests while you are casting any of your sorcerer spells.

1 Your skin and hair change color change depending on the emotion you feel the most of in that moment.
2 Sparkles accompanied by faint laughter of children surround the target of your spell.
3 Your eyes swirl with iridescent colors.
4 Flowers either bloom or wilt (your choice) in your presence.
5 Spectral faces reflecting the current emotion you are feeling appear around you in all directions.
6 Music suiting what you associate with your current mood can be heard by you and those affected by your magic.

Beguiling Defense

1st-level Whimsical Soul feature

Your fey tendencies and nature give you a supernatural resistance to being charmed or frightened which you can extend to your friends. When you or a creature you can see within 60 feet of you is about to make a saving throw against being charmed or frightened ; you can use your reaction to grant them advantage on the saving throw.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Hopeful Ward

6th-level Whimsical Soul feature

You can tap into your connection to the magic of the fey to imbue a creature with a whimsical shield of fey spirits ready to soften the blows against them with the power of the wonder and hope of children across the multiverse. As an action, you can expend 1 to 5 sorcery points to create a magical ward around yourself or another creature you can see within 30 feet of you.

The ward lasts until you finish a long rest or until you use this feature again. The ward is represented by a number of d8s equal to the number of sorcery points spent to create it. When the warded creature takes damage, it can expend a number of those dice, roll them, and reduce the damage taken by the total rolled on those dice.

Trance of Echos

14th-level Whimsical Soul feature

You gain the ability to align your consciousness to the chaotic and whimsical nature of the Feywild, becoming a conduit for it's strange properties into your plane of existence, giving you a slight degree of control over reality all be it in a chaotic manner. As a bonus action, you can enter this state for 1 minute. For the duration, you can as an action roll on the Trance of Echos table to cause a random supernatural effect to occur as a result of the energies of the Feywild wildly emanating from you

Trance of Echos Effects

D10 Effect
1-2 Animated Reinforcements. You cast [Tooltip Not Found] at it's lowest possible level.
3-5 Strength of Nature. One creature you can see within 60 feet of you becomes under the effects the guardian of nature.
6-8 Song of The Wee Folk. A creature within 30 feet of you, that can hear you becomes under the effects of the Otto's Irresistible Dance spell as catchy fey music emits from you and ensnares the creature.
9-10 Nature's Wrath. Your rage infuses the land around you, causing you to cast wrath of nature at it's lowest possible level. 

Once you use this bonus action, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 5 sorcery points to use it again.

Chaotic Surge

18th-level Whimsical Soul feature

You summon spirits of Fey to unleash mischief around you. As an action, you summon the spirits in a 30-foot sphere originating from you. The spirits look like pixies or other fey of your choice. The spirits are intangible and invulnerable, and they create the following effects within the sphere before vanishing:

  • The spirits cause creatures up to a number equal to your Proficiency bonus, to levitate 10 feet off the ground for 1 round, unless they succeed on a charisma save equal to your spell save DC, divided as you choose among any number of creatures of your choice in the sphere.
  • Any plants instantly grow into difficult terrain as if by the plant growth spell.
  • Every spell of 6th level or lower active on creatures and objects of your choice in the sphere is changed as if it had been cast at 1 level higher than the level it was actually cast at.

Once you use this action, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 7 sorcery points to use it again.
