Base Class: Barbarian
Drawing power from draconic ancestors, the Path of the Draconblood imbues upon you the strength and ferocity of those primal beasts of elemental power. Barbarians who follow the Path of the Draconblood find their body alter while they rage, becoming more and more similar to those ancient beasts.
Few creatures can match the sheer dominance and primal might of a dragon, and with your spirit inexorably intertwined with these powerful beasts, you have the power to destroy, or to protect; the world is your oyster with the wrath of the dragons coursing through your veins.
Draconic Influence
When you enter a rage, you take on aspects of a draconic being, growing savage natural weapons as claws grow from your hands, fangs sprout from your maw, and a vicious lashing tail grows from your back which you can use to make unarmed strikes (if you do not already have a tail, if you do, your tail is morphed into a draconic, reptilian tail).
- Claw attacks deal 1d4 slashing damage, and if you attack with only claw attacks during your Action, you can make a single claw attack as an off-hand attack.
- Tail attacks deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage with a 10-foot range.
- Bite attacks deal 1d8 piercing damage, and 1d4 additional elemental damage.
When you enter a rage, you can maintain concentration of "Dragon's Breath" or "Alar's Wildfire" if they are active, but cannot cast any spells, or maintain concentration on any other spells until the rage has subsided.
Additionally, when you enter a rage, roll a d6, and gain resistance to the following damage type, and the elemental damage through this subclass changes correspondingly. Your skin also becomes scaly and reptilian, and its colour matches the damage type rolled:
- 1 - Fire (Red)
- 2 - Cold (White)
- 3 - Poison (Green)
- 4 - Acid (Black)
- 5 - Lightning (Blue)
- 6 - Fire (Red)
Draconic Escalation
Starting at 6th level, you gain the following features while you are raging:
- Your claw attacks now do an additional 1d4 elemental damage.
- You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet (if you already have darkvision , the range of your darkvision is increased by 60 feet).
- Your body becomes hardened by chitinous scales that cover parts of your body, adding a bonus to your AC equal to your STR modifier.
- When you enter a rage, you can choose to sprout reptilian, draconic wings out of your back, provided that any armour your are wearing can accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate the wings may be destroyed. These wings provide you a flying speed equal to your walking speed. These wings are immediately dismissed when you exit your rage.
Primeval Might
Starting at 10th level, you can use an action while raging to unleash a primal roar. Each creature of your choice within 60 feet of you and aware of your must succeed on a WIS saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Once you use this roar, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. The saving throw for this subclass' features equals 8 + your Proficiency Score + your STR modifier, or your Spell DC if applicable (your choice)
Additionally, you gain the following features whether or not you are raging:
- The ability to create or dismiss reptilian wings as a bonus action.
- An increase to your AC equal to your STR modifier.
- Darkvision, or an increase to your darkvision if you already have it, equal to 60 feet.
Draconian Apotheon
Starting at 14th level, you gain improvements to your natural weapons gained while raging:
- Claw attacks do 2d4 slashing damage, plus an additional 1d4 elemental damage (this elemental damage bonus is not gained on claw attacks made as a bonus action)
- Tail attacks do 2d6 bludgeoning damage, and the target must make a STR saving throw against your DC or be knocked prone.
- Bite attacks now do 2d8 piercing damage, plus an additional 2d4 elemental damage.
You gain the following improvements when you are raging:
- Your flying speed doubles.
- Your resistance granted by the elemental type above becomes an immunity instead.
- If you are smaller than Large, you become Large, along with anything you are wearing (if you lack the room to become large, your size doesn't change).
- You gain blindsight up to 20 feet.
- You gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your CON modifier x 2, when you enter a rage.
