When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells.

Cantrips. You learn three cantrips of your choice from the cleric spell list. You learn another cleric cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots. The Jaded Confessor Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your cleric spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended slots when you finish a long rest.

Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher

You know three 1st level Cleric spells of your choice. The Spells Known column of the Jaded Confessor Spellcasting shows when you learn more Cleric spells of 1st level or higher.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the Cleric spells you know with another spell of your choice fron the Cleric spell list.

Spellcasting Ability

Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for your Cleric spells. The power of your spells come from the devotion to your faith. You use your Wisdom whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Wisdom modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a Cleric spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifer

Ear for Absolution & Hand of Revelation

Additionally at 3rd level, your senses as a confessor have been honed to understand the intentions of others for the purpose of repentance. You have advantage on all checks used to ascertain a creature's intentions. Whenever you succeed a check of this nature, whether through smooth talking or intent listening, you gain a sort of blessing known as a Sinner's Repentance.

Additionally, if you succeed in a sneak attack while holding onto a Sinner's Repentance, you may expend one to add a d6 to the damage and make the damage type radiant. You turn the repentance to revelation, driving forth the absolved truth from a sinner's tongue into those who keep up their weary facade.

The Sweet Supple Taste of Secrecy

At 9th level, your talent for twisting the truth out of others becomes a form of pleasure to you. Whenever you succeed in a sneak attack, you gain the ability to heal using the gospel spilt from blood. You can expend a Sinner's Repentance, then reduce a number of sneak attack die of your choice and instead roll those die to recover the hit points of any creature of your choice in a 30 foot radius.

Divine Retaliation

Starting as 13th level, you gain the ability to see the insecurities of the violent, and are able to project your divine passion to act on them. When a creature damages your or an allied creature within 30 feet of you, you may expend a Sinner's Repentance as a reaction, as you are veiled in divine magic that hides your presence for a brief moment as it carries you to any available space that is 5 feet within the range of the creature that made the attack. You make a melee weapon attack, and if you choose you may manifest a dagger of divine will in a free hand to make this attack. This dagger is a +1 dagger that deals radiant damage and disappears upon use. If you hit and qualify for sneak attack, you may use any feature that requires a Sinner's Repentance without expending one.

Savant of Servitude

At 17th level, your dedication to your faith enables you to bypass the expensive tax of many powerful spells. When casting a Cleric spell with a material component that has a gold cost, you may expend a number of Sinner's Repentance equal to 1 per 100 GP price of material cost in order to cast the spell without the material component.

In addition, whenever you complete a long rest you are blessed with 6 Divine Sins. These Divine Sins may be used in place of Sinner's Repentance, but any extra are lost upon completing a long rest.
