Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

On the continent of Gavel, there exists cities where the art of Cosmic Magic, like Gravity Magic, is practiced. These cities are ruled under the Emperor of the Cosmos, who appoints trainers to seek out those who are sneaky and unseen. The Fell Stars of the Emperor are those who seek to imbue their roguish techniques with this special Magic. Relying on it to not only be unheard, they use their gravity Magic to cause brutal strikes when they manage to strike while unseen. This gravitational technique is known as the Way of Crimson Moon, and is the Emperor’s greatest asset.

Vortex Feet

When you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you can use the cosmic magic that you learned to create silent gravity vortexes beneath your feet, which can keep you silent and hidden. When you use this ability, your height increases by 3 inches, and you are considered hovering. Your footsteps make no sound, and you gain a +3 bonus to Stealth rolls while this ability is active. You can activate this ability for a maximum of one hour total, and regain the use of this ability after a long rest.

Cosmic Strike

Starting at 9th level, your sneak attack can be infused with cosmic energy, forming a glowing shell around your weapon as you make your attack. When you use your sneak attack feature, you can add one of the following effects using your cosmic energy.

  • Blade of Banded Stars- You can infuse your strike with a glowing band of glowing, twinkling lights, which burst into stardust when the attack is made. When your Sneak Attack is a melee weapon attack, you can use this ability to deal extra Force Damage on a hit equal to your level + your proficiency bonus.
  • Aria of Twinkling Galaxies- You can cause your arrow or bolt to glow with a flourishing cosmic energy, which streaks through the sky like a comet when shot. When your Sneak Attack is a ranged weapon attack, you can use this ability to disorient the creature on a hit, giving it disadvantage on its next attack roll or saving throw.
  • Starlight Rain- You can cause your attack to create a burst of glowing, shattering stellar energy, which showers down like a rain of shimmering rain. When you use your Sneak Attack, you can use this ability to cause a rain of energy to blast from the creature on a hit. All hostile creatures within 10 feet of the targeted creature must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 force damage.

Gravitas

By 13th level, you have learned enough about the workings of your magic to cause a gravitational pulse, which you can send out from your body. This shockwave is the Gravitas Technique, a form of gravity magic that pulls from the Gravitas Spell mastered by Mages of this variety.

As an action, you can strike the ground with your palm coated in gravity magic, and release a shockwave. All creatures within 20 feet of you must make an intelligence saving throw or take 3d10 Force damage. You then choose one effect that also occurs on a failed save-

  • The creatures are pushed 15 feet away from you.
  • The creatures are pulled 15 feet toward you.
  • Any grounded creatures are levitated 10 feet in the air, and stay there until the end of their next turn unless they have the ability to move while airborne.

You can use this feature twice, recovering all expended uses on a long rest. At 15th level, you can exclude any creatures within the radius from taking damage or the effects of this ability.

Reactive Gravitas

When you reach 17th level, you have become extremely adept at your Gravity Magic, enough to increase the usefulness of your Gravitas ability. The capstone of any Fell Star, this mastery of quick gravitational manipulation is a power few can lay claim to.

You gain the ability to use Gravitas as a bonus action, as well as a reaction to a creature missing a melee attack against you. The damage of Gravitas additionally increases to 4d10 force damage, and you gain three uses of this ability.
