Base Class: Warlock
Those birds destroyed the forest they swore to protect. Unfair judgment, endless surveillance, deadly punishment... in the end, they were the beast of the forest. I will return to the forest someday and set things right. Just you wait, my siblings, I will save you.
Fat Bird (not to be confused with Big Bird) is a mythical bird from the Black Forest. They offer you some of their power, and in return ask for your help in taking back the Black Forest.
Notice: This subclass has been updated, with fixes and balance improvements. It is recommended to use the latest version.
Dazzled
This subclass introduces the Dazzled condition. When a creature is dazzled, it prioritizes the dazzler as a target for attacks and other aggression. Dazzle does not stack; new instances on an already dazzled creature replace previous instances.
A dazzled creature may put itself in danger in an attempt to pursue the dazzler, but it will not completely disregard its own safety. If the dazzler is not present or otherwise unavailable to attack, the dazzled creature may attack other targets, though it will still remain dazzled.
Expanded Spell List
Fat Bird lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Lantern of the Lost
Starting at 1st level, you can use the power of Fat Bird to draw attention to yourself.
Using a bonus action, you can attempt to dazzle 1 creature you can see within 60 feet. The targeted creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spellcasting DC. If it fails, it is dazzled by you for 1 minute. It can attempt the saving throw again at the end of each of its turns. If it succeeds, the effect ends early.
This feature is not considered to be an effect or entity that travels, so cover does not prevent creatures from being targeted.
The number of creatures you can target increases to 2 at 6th level, to 4 at 10th level, and to 8 at 14th level.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to twice your Charisma modifier. All uses are regained at the end of a long rest.
Song of the Innocent
Starting at 6th level, the power of Fat Bird protects you from excessive violence. You take 7 less damage per hit when the source is a creature dazzled by you. Apply this damage reduction after any multipliers, such as from resistance or vulnerability.
Ring of the Balance
Starting at 10th level, Fat Bird confers the ability to punish the judge when you are being executed unfairly (which clearly is every time). Your weapon attacks deal additional damage to dazzled targets, equal to 1d6 force damage per 40 hit points you are missing (compared to your maximum hit points).
Fat Bird Returns
Starting at 14th level, Fat Bird gives you the courage to face your fears.
As an action, you can activate this feature. It lasts for 10 minutes, but you can choose to end it early as a bonus action. Your body and equipment glow, even if you are invisible, emitting bright light to 15 feet and dim light to 30 feet. You have an aura of power, which nearby creatures can feel. You have advantage on all saving throws. Attack rolls against you have advantage. Your speed is halved.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
To Slay The Beast
Starting at 14th level, Fat Bird arms you with the power to kill the final boss.
When you deal damage to creatures dazzled by you, you may convert the damage type to radiant.
