Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

For many, emotions are catalysts for magic, allowing them to focus their spells and steel themselves; and for some, rage is a boost for their martial skill, allowing them to break through defenses with ease and cleave through foes. For some though, rage is their magic, a pure source of power that seems endless and without limit, allowing them to bend the very laws of reality. These sorcerers use their magic to rampage through their foes with little effort and numb themselves to any pain.

Wrath Magic

1st-level Rage Sorcery feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Wrath Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a enchantment or an evocation spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.

Your unbridled fury is unleashed in a hysteric flurry of magic. As a bonus action, you gain the following benefits for 1 minute:

  • Once per turn, when you roll damage for a spell of 1st-level or higher, you gain a bonus to one damage roll of that spell. The bonus is equal to twice the level of the spell.
  • Any damage you take is reduced by half your sorcerer level (minimum of -1).
  • You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Seeing Red

6th-level Rage Sorcery feature

With each foe you slay your rage grows, and your magic surges in power. Once per turn, when you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you gain a cumulative +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs of your sorcerer spells (up to a maximum of +3). This bonus lasts for 1 minute, but it ends early if you are incapacitated.

Emotive Intuition

Your magical connection to your emotions gives you a knack for reading others. You have advantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks, and whenever you make a check to determine a creature's emotional state, you gain a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier (mimimum of +1).

Atrocious Frenzy

14th-level Rage Sorcery feature

Your blood frenzy grows more feral, granting you terrifying power. While under the effects of your Blood Freny, you gain the followiung benefits:

  • You gain a magical flying speed of 50 feet.
  • At the start of each of your turns, you gain temporary hit points equal to your sorcerer level if you have no more than half of your hit points left.
  • You are immune to the charmed and frightened conditions.

Rage Incarnate

18th-level Rage Sorcery feature

With each and every strike your rage incites terror in the hearts of your foes. Whenever you damage a creature with a spell of 1st level or higher, you can spend 1 sorcery point to force the creature to make a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. While frightened in this way, the creature has disadvantage on saving throws against spells you cast, and takes psychic damage equal to half your sorcerer level (rounded down) whenever it starts its turn while you are within its line of sight. The frightened creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
