Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

All barbarians are driven by fiery anger inside their souls. However, barbarians who follow the Path of Frostborn learn how to channel the anger inside them into cold unforgiving fury. Often called coldmongers, they are typically born and raised on harsh freezing cold environments, blessed by ancient spirits of frost with unwavering strenght and cursed to live their lives into a cold survival on the frozen wilderness.

Frostrage

When you rage, you can unleash a cold fury inside your soul and blood. Until your rages end, you manifest strenght of true frost. Choose one of the folowing options once you reach 3rd level, 6th level and 10th level.

Freezing Aura

While raging, your cold fury becomes tangible and if manifests around you.

You emit a cold aura that extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through cover or walls. Creatures other than you that starts their turns within your aura, need to succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC equals to 8 + your proficience bonus + your Constitution modifier) or take cold damage equals to your Constitution modifier and have their speed reduced by 10 feet.

Glacial Dew

While raging, your body circulation is affected by your fury and the air freezes around you, coating your body into a crust of ice condensed by your transpiration.

At the start of each of your turns while raging, you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficience bonus + Constitution modifier.

Wintersbite

While raging, your cold fury is channeled from your soul and blood into your strikes, as layers of frost form in your weapons.

Creatures you hit with weapon melee attacks take a extra 1d4 cold damage. The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 1d6 at 5th level, 1d8 at 10th level, 2d4 at 15th level, 2d6 at 20th level.

Frozen Blood

The frozen blood running through your veins transforms your metabolism.

Your heartbeat slows, lowering your body temperature and circulation, granting you the following benefits:

  • You gain resistance to cold damage.
  • You have advantage on Constitution saving throws.
  • Instead of sleeping to gain the benefits of a long rest, your body enters a state of hibernation, and you are not considered unconscious for that period of time.

Freezing Gaze

You can look into the the very deep soul of your enemies and freeze them to the bone.

As a bonus action, choose a creature that you can see and that can see you within 30 feet of you. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equals to 8 + your proficience bonus + your Constitution modifier) or become paralyzed until the end of your next turn. A creature is immune to this effect if it is immune to charm or cold damage.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Immovable Glacier

Whenever you rage, the spirits of frost empower your cold fury.

While raging, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain immunity to cold damage.
  • You can't be knocked prone, restrained or moved against your will.
  • When you score a critical hit against a creature with a weapon melee attack, all creatures within 10 feet of the target take cold damage equal to your barbarian level as ice shards explode from your target's wounds.
