Base Class: Bard
All the bards from the College of Foretelling were fortunate enough to develop the gift of a second sight; they can receive visions of upcoming scenes and unspeakable deeds that they weave into their texts, providing insight into future events. The sources of this magic can be divine, arcane, or fiendish, or may have been obtained by a bard through ancestry or gift. Or maybe their abilities were given to them by a being who wants to warn of the coming storm. Other bards are often unsure of the members of this college because they are highly suspected of being spies, or at least crooks without such a gift of anticipation.
These bards often appear in the street in front of crowds of passersby, making terrible prophecies out loud or singing a song with puzzling and ominous lyrics. Their performances captivate the casual observer as he tries to decode the words, and some songs may be remembered for months or years as having promised a certain happy - or unhappy - event. You can also find them when they make money in games, surprisingly winning more coins than others would have expected. It is a popular path among the Vistani people.
Prophetic Inspiration
When you join the College of FOretelling at 3rd level, you can inspire others with glimpses of possible futures. When a creature is gifted a Bardic Inspiration dice, they can roll it immediately and record the number rolled. When the creature wishes to expend their Bardic Inpiration dice on an ability check, attack roll or saving throw, they can choose to either use the recorded number or roll the dice as usual.
Combat Precognition
At 3rd level, you can magically gain an insight into a creature's next possible moe and mentally brace for it. As a bonus action, you mark a creature you can see within 60 feet of you for 1 minute.
If the creature makes an attack roll against you while marked, it has a penalty to the roll equal to the number rolled on your Bardic Inspiration dice. If it forces you to make a saving throw, you gain a bonus equal to the number rolled on your Bardic Inspiration dice. After either case, the mark ends.
Sixth Sense
At 6th level, you gain a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier. Also, you cannot be surprised while conscious.
Event Forecast
Also at 6th level, you learn the augury spell, which counts as a bard spell for you, and doesn't count against your number of bard spells known.
In addition, you can spend 1 minute to cast the augury spell without providing material components or expending a spell slot. When you cast the spell this way, the action you describe can be one that either you or another creature plans to take within the next 24 hours, rather than the spell's original wording. In addition, casting the spell this way doesn't count towards the number of times you've cast it today.
Once you use this feature to cast the spell this way, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
Clearer Interpretation
At 14th level, a creature that is gifted a Bardic Inspiration dice can now roll it twice immediately and record either number for later use.
In addition, when you expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration on you Combat Precognition feature, you can roll the dice immediately and record the number rolled. When determining the bonus or penaty for an attack roll or saving throw as a part of the feature, you can choose to either use the recorded number or roll the dice as usual.
