Base Class: Bard
Be it interest or obsession, the College of Conspiracy is dedicated to "finding the REAL truth" of the world around them. While most see the rambling as nothing more than nonsense, every once in a purple moon (when a blue moon and a red moon occurs at the same time... It's a real thing... Look it up...), these "truths" may spark a font of inspiration in others.
Note to DMs and PCs:
This sub-class relies heavily on role-playing flavor. It is the choice of the player to determine how much they pour into this character choice but as with all things DnD, it requires clear conversation between players and dungeon masters to ensure all parties find enjoyment. This sub-class was the result of an off-hand idea of my own DnD group and wish to share it with others, but make sure to converse with your table as to how much "attention" is too much. We hope you enjoy this sub-class as much as we do, even though it is in itself a conspiracy to make you want to use your Bardic Inspiration Dice more often.
Tracing Patterns
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in either the History or Arcana skill, your choice. When you make a History check or an Arcana check, you can add your Charisma modifier to the roll result. You also gain proficiency with Calligrapher's Supplies and Forgery Kit, if you don't already have it.
Wake Up, Sheeple!
At 3rd level, when a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll, or an ability check, you can use your reaction to cause the creature to make an Insight (Wisdom) check against your Spell Save DC. On a failure, the attack roll or ability check is made with disadvantage. In addition, creatures who roll to use your Bardic Inspiration die may also choose to roll a d100. If the result of the d100 is equal to or lower than your Charisma stat, the result of the Bardic Inspiration die is doubled. However, if the result of the d100 is greater than your Charisma stat, the result of the Bardic Inspiration die is halved (rounded down) to a minimum of 1.
Right In Front Of Your Face
When you reach 6th level, if a creature within 30 feet of you uses your Bardic Inspiration die and chooses to roll a d100, you may use your reaction to ignore the negative effect that halves the die roll for rolling over your Charisma stat with the d100. You may do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain all expended uses on a short or long rest.
Legion Of Truth-Seekers
At 6th level, if a creature within 30 feet of you uses your Bardic Inspiration die, you gain temporary Hit Points equal to the die roll.
Eyes Unclouded By Lies
At 14th level, when a creature you can see within 60 feet of you makes a Saving Throw against one of your bard spells, you may use a reaction to expend the use of one of your Bardic Inspiration dice. Until the end of your next turn, your Spell Save DC increases by 1 for every expended use of your Bardic Inspiration.
