Base Class: Sorcerer
Saying you aren’t like most sorcerers is a bit of an understatement: instead of your magic coming from a powerful bloodline or through contact with a magically overcharged event or individual, the very spark that grants you your abilities is dark, twisted and, for lack of a better word, corrupted.
Perhaps you were raised in a place whose mere existence is a mockery of all that is natural and good, maybe you were cursed by a powerful mage as a baby, or you were marked by a dark prophecy, or possibly there’s no real explanation on why your magic is so distorted and it’s simply nothing but your cross to bear.
Whatever the case may be, sorcerers that walk this path are haunted by their own magic and what they can do, often too afraid to look into reflections as they reveal the true nature of their magic and possibly themselves; they are tortured and terrified individuals who don’t know what to do with their own corrupted magic, how to get rid of it. Unless, of course, they may not want to at all…
Corrupted Magic
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Corrupted Magic Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Dark Reflection
When you choose this subclass at 1st level, your very existence is corrupted by the magic you wield, and it haunts both you and others. Whenever you are within 15 feet of a mirror or a similar very clearly reflective surface, you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC, or become frightened of the surface for 1 minute, as a twisted version of yourself appears in it and haunts you.
However, you have learned to turn this terrifying part of yourself into an asset: you gain proficiency with the Intimidation, and your proficiency bonus is doubled for any check you make with it.
Twisted Self
Also at 1st level, you can conjure the very reflection that haunts you into battle to horrify your foes as much as it does you. As an action, choose an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet of you, causing your reflection to appear at that point. The reflection lasts for 1 minute, and you don’t choose the appearance of this reflection, it always bears an uncanny, eerie and twisted resemblance to you. You can use a bonus action on your turn to mentally command the reflection to move up to 30 feet in any direction, but it must remain within 120 feet of you.
For the duration, area in a 10-foot radius centred on your reflection becomes difficult terrain, and once on each of your turns, when you deal damage to a creature, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed safe, it becomes frightened of both you and your reflection.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, gaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Corrupting Burst
When you reach 6th level, you can unleash a temporary burst of the corruption within you to defend yourself. As a reaction to being hit by an attack, you can corrupt the attacker. The next time you deal damage to them, they take additional necrotic damage equal to your sorcerer level, and once during the next minute, whenever they roll an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you may force them to roll a d4 and subtract it from the roll.
You can use this feature once, gaining the ability to do so again when you finish a short or long rest.
Spread the Terror
Starting at 14th level, you can allow a creature’s consciousness into your own, letting them experience the constant whispers and shadowy reflections that terrify you. As an action, you can make a melee spell attack against a creature within range. On a hit, the creature takes psychic damage equal to five times your sorcerer level, and they become stunned until the end of your next turn.
Once you use this feature successfully, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 7 sorcery points to use it again.
Mirage of Corruption
When you reach 18th level, your dark reflection is at its most powerful. The radius of your Reflection’s Aura increases to 20 feet, you and your allies are immune to it, and whenever a creature enters the area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, they take necrotic damage equal to half you sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier and they must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or have their speed reduced by half until the beginning of your next turn.
