Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids who are members of the Circle of Dreams hail from regions that have strong ties to the Feywild and its dreamlike realms. The druids’ guardianship of the natural world makes for a natural alliance between them and good-aligned fey. These druids seek to fill the world with dreamy wonder. Their magic mends wounds and brings joy to downcast hearts, and the realms they protect are gleaming, fruitful places, where dream and reality blur together and where the weary can find rest.

Tranquil Slumber

Starting at 2nd level, you gain the ability to weave your spells from beyond consciousness. You learn the Sleep spell, and it doesn't count against the number of spells known. As an action, you can expend one use of your Wild Shape feature and choose to fall into a sleep-like trance. While your trance is active, you gain the following:

  • Your speed is reduced to 0ft.
  • You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1).
  • You gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier plus your proficiency bonus.
  • You gain a radius of tremorsense equal to 10 times your proficiency bonus.
  • You may cast spells without requiring their verbal or somatic components.

You can choose to wake up as a reaction when you or your temporary hit points are damaged, or at the start of each of your turns.

Circle Spells

At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Dreams Reawakened Spells table as you become more connected to the dreamlike power of the Feywild. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Druid Level Spells
3rd Calm Emotions, Zone of Truth
5th Hypnotic Pattern, Nondetection
7th Confusion, Phantasmal Killer
9th Dream, Modify Memory

Dreamweaver's Insight

At 6th level, you can extend your fey connection into the realm of others' dreams. During a short or long rest, you can invoke the mystical power of the Feywild to peer into the dreams of a sleeping creature as though you were using the spell Scrying on the target within their dream. Your knowledge and connection to the target have no effect on the target's saving throw. Creatures who do not sleep such as elves are unaffected by this ability.

You may use this ability once per long rest.

Flickering Existence

Starting at 10th level, you can use the hidden, magical pathways that some fey use to traverse space in the blink of an eye. While in your trance from the Tranquil Slumber feature, you gain blindsight in a radius equal to 10 times your proficiency bonus. As a bonus action on your turn, you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can sense. Alternatively, you can use your action to teleport one willing creature you touch up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can sense.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Somnambulance

When you reach 14th level, the magic of the Feywild pervades your body and protects you from harm while you sleep. When you use your Tranquil Slumber feature to enter your trance, you retain a movement speed equal to half of your original movement speed rounded down. Furthermore, you gain the ability to cast Sleep at will. Whenever you cast Sleep, you may roll an additional number of dice equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1).
