Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Rock was founded by the bard Black Jack after he received the first Arcanolyre from the wizard Eldrian. Members of the College of Rock use their special music to inspire allies and intimidate foes.

Arcanolyre

When you take this subclass at 3rd level, you magically gain an Arcanolyre. The Arcanolyre weighs 10 pounds, is worth 100 GP, and can be used as an arcane focus for Spellcasting. Holding requires two hands, and you can use it’s row of spikes on the back of the body to make a two handed attack , dealing 1d6 plus strength modifier piercing damage.

Rocking Inspiration

At 3rd level, the bard, as an action, taps into the spirit of rock and invigorates allies, giving all allies within 20 feet of the bard 1d8 temporary health for 1 minute. This increases to 1d10 at 8th level and 1d12 at 16th level. This effect can only be used once a minute, and a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier a day. All uses return after a long rest.

Power of Rock

Starting at 6th level, twice per day, the bard can give an ally “Rock Power” as a bonus action. Until the Bard’s next turn, the ally can roll an extra damage die for one damage roll. This increases to two damage die at 20th level.

Rocking Intimidation

At 14th level, the bard gains the ability to use its unorthodox musical style to intimidate enemies. As an action, the bard blasts a wave of sound in a 60 foot cone, and all creatures within range must succeed on a DC 17 Charisma saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. The bard can select up to 4 targets within the cone and grant them advantage on the saving throw. This feature can only be used once per long rest.
