Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Magic is powerful, and thus a potential tool for chaos and devastation. The Oath of the Purge commits paladins to studying magic, harnessing it and, above all else, countering and nullifying any harm it causes. When portals to dangerous planes are opened, spellcasters threaten magical havoc or summoned creatures break free, the Oath of the Weave paladin uses their knowledge of the arcane and their specialist anti-magic training to restore order, whatever the cost.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Spellbreak. You can use your Channel Divinity to cease the flow of magic. As an action, you can target one creature within 30 feet that is concentrating on a spell and break their concentration, causing the spell to end.

Disrupt the Weave. You can use your Channel Divinity to disrupt the flow of the Weave and prevent foes from wielding magic. As an action, you present your holy symbol, and each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that you can see must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature cannot cast spells for 1 minute or until it takes damage. This does not affect spells it is concentrating on.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Aura of Resistance

Beginning at 7th level, your training prepares you and your allies against magic. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Puritan Bulwark

Starting at 15th level, when you take damage from a spell or other magical effect, you can use your reaction to halve the spell’s damage against you.

Eternal Templar

At 20th level, you shape the surrounding forces of magic to your will and become surrounded by a glowing sphere of abjuration.

Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • You cannot unwillingly be targeted by spells or other magical effects.
  • The spells granted to you by your Oath Spells feature do not consume spell slots.
  • When you damage a creature concentrating on a spell or other magical effect, you can end that creature's concentration.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
