Base Class: Sorcerer
You obtain your magic through a special connection to your soul, allowing it to manifest as an Eidolon. Your soul is reinforced, and strengthened by your magic. Perhaps your soul manifests as a divine warrior of light, or a demon wreathed in flames, maybe even a literal ghost that fights up close and personal.
A Soul Summoner sits in the back of combat, letting their soul do the fighting, while they cast spells and reinforce their team from afar.
Soul Summon
Starting at 1st level, When you choose this subclass, pick one of the Soul Eidolons and keep note of it. As an action, you can summon your chosen Soul Eidolon in an open space within 5 feet of you. When you summon it, it can immediately make one of its attacks. You can move your Soul Eidolon as a bonus action on each of your turns. As an action, you can instead choose to take one of your Soul Eidolons actions.
When your Soul Eidolon is hit with an attack that deals damage, you take the damage instead of your Soul Eidolon. If your Soul Eidolon is hit with damage it is resistant or immune to, then the damage acts as such.
You can summon your Soul Eidolon a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, before needing to take a long rest to summon it again.
