Base Class: Monk
A more grounded martial arts style. Expert strikers who use their fists to pummel their opponents into submission.
Conditioning
Gain proficiency in the athletics skill. If you already have this proficiency, you gain expertise in the skill.
You gain proficiency in Constitution saving throws. If you already have this proficiency you instead gain proficiency in Strength or Dexterity (your choice).
The Ol' One Two
Starting at 3rd level, when you land two unarmed attacks in a row against a creature you can choose one of the following effects to occur:
- Your next attack made against the creature has advantage
- The creature is pushed back 5 ft.
- You can move up to 5ft without provoking opportunity attacks from the creature.
The Sweet Science
Starting at 7th level, you have learned how to thoroughly read your opponents, how to soften their blows and how to punish their attacks with counters.
You can use your reaction to spend two ki points to reduce the damage of an attack by 1d8 + your strength/dexterity modifier + your monk level. If you reduce the damage to 0 you can make an unarmed strike against a creature within range as part of the same reaction.
What's My Name?
At 11th level, your combos have become devastating, allowing for more powerful finishers and effects.
When you land two consecutive unarmed strikes on a creature, you can choose one of the following effects to occur:
- The creature is knocked prone
- The creature is blinded until the start of it's turn
These effects stack with the effects of 'The Ol' One Two'.
Controlling the Ring
At 17th level, whenever a creature provokes an opportunity attack you can spend a ki point to dash. You can choose to move after the creature that provoked the opportunity attack.
