Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A path tied to a fiendish legacy. Members of these tribes follow the whispered words of Devils to bind and burn their foes.

Binding Chains

The chains of the hells aid you against your foes. While grappling a creature, you may use a bonus action to summon fiery chains to envelope them. The chains grapple the creature for you and use your Athletics modifier for rolls to escape. When striking an enemy grappled this way, you deal additional damage equal to your proficiency bonus to the creature.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Mark of Castigation

Whenever Binding Chains is used on a creature, they become branded with an infernal rune for the next minute. While you are within 5 feet of the branded creature, attacks the creature makes against targets other than yourself are made at disadvantage. In addition whenever the creature attempts to move away from you, they must spend an additional foot of movement for every foot moved.

Fiendish Embodiment

Whenever you rage, your body can shift taking on one of the transformations below until your rage ends:

- You sprout wings gaining a flying speed equal to your walking speed.
- Your body is wreathed in flame and scales. You gain resistance to fire, cold, and poison damage and make saves against poison with advantage.
- Spiteful chants fill your mind. Whenever you are dealt damage, you can use your reaction to utter a baneful word causing the source of the damage to take 2d10 necrotic damage

Vengeance Dealt

Whenever you kill a target branded with your Mark of Castigation, you regain a use of your binding chains and gain 4d4 temporary hit points.
