Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

The Fated Sorcerer is blessed with powers of great insight, both into what has come in the past, and what may be awaiting them in the future. By touching and manipulating the Weave through their inherent understanding of the bindings of fate, they are able to create ripples and eddies of Fate that they can take advantage of, using them as portals to see the past, the future, or distant current events. They can also influence events around themselves, immersing themselves in magic and fate to supernaturally hinder their enemies and bolster their allies.

Prognostic Spells

1st-level Fated feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Prognostic Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a divination or an enchantment spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.

Tireless Awareness

1st-level Fated feature

The touch of predestination over the Fated Sorcerer's perception never truly fades, and they are always aware of the flickering shadows of past and future in their periphery. These guiding visions give the sorcerer a glimpse into the shape and movement of things that are, or will be, or that did occur. As a result of this, the Fated Sorcerer adds half of their Sorcerer level rounded down (minimum of +1) to their Initiative.

Twist the Weave

1st-level Fated feature

With your unique insight into the path of fate and destiny you have the ability to twist probability using your magical insight.A Fated sorcerer can manipulate the Weave to influence the flow of events, turning a faltering attack into a mortal blow on their enemies, or a faltering will into resolute confidence in their allies.

When another creature you can see within 50 feet makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can use your reaction to roll 1d4 and apply the number rolled as a bonus or penalty (your choice) to the creature’s roll. You can do so after the creature rolls but before any effects of the roll occur.

At 6th level, you may expend a sorcery point to upgrade the d4 to a d6, and at 10th level you may expend three sorcery points to upgrade the die from a d4 to a d8.

Unblinking Eye

6th-level Fated feature

The shifting shadows of Fate on the Weave allow the Fated Sorcerer to take and put together details from the past and the future and come to brilliant cognitive leaps of logic, or to zero in on important details that might escape other people. Further, the warnings of the future allow the Fated Sorcerer to anticipate and react to danger with a preternatural awareness.

At 6th level, the Fated Sorcerer adds a bonus equal to half their Proficiency bonus rounded down (minimum of +1) to their Investigation and Perception modifiers, and the sorcerer cannot be surprised in combat.

Opening the Eye of Truth

14th-level Fated feature

By attuning themself completely with the Weave of magic and the Fates, the Fated Sorcerer gains preternatural insight into events that have or will or are occurring, tapping into their own incredible abilities of precognition and divination. By expending Sorcery points, the Fated Sorcerer can cast spells that they might not normally have access to.

At 14th level, the Sorcerer can expend three Sorcery points to cast See Invisibility. By expending four Sorcery points, the Sorcerer can cast Locate Creature. By expending seven Sorcery points, the Sorcerer can cast Legend Lore or Scrying. Finally, by expending eight Sorcery points, the Sorcerer can cast the True Seeing spell. None of these spells count against the Sorcerer's prepared spells.

Master of the Weave

18th-level Fated feature

At 18th level, the Fated Sorcerer is able to see the shiftings in the Weave that precede a manifestation of magic, and turn it's weaving to their own ends.

The Fated Sorcerer can detect when other spellcasters are attempting to cast a spell on them or on someone within a 30 foot radius around them, and can expend a reaction to attempt to grasp the strands of the Weave and wrest them from the spell's original caster. The spellcaster must roll a Spell Attack against the Fated Sorcerer's spell save DC. If they fail the check, the Fated Sorcerer now has control of the spell. They can dictate a new target for the spell, as long as the new target is still within range of the original caster. If this is not the case, the spell simply dissipates.
