Base Class: Warlock
Dragons exist on multiple Prime Material Planes simultaneously in a manner known as 'echoes.' Each dragon is distinct from the other versions of itself, though some become aware of their shared existence and take conscious steps to communicate and share information or experiences. When one of these self-aware echoes dies violently, a distant echo (or multiple) may try to invest some measure of the dead dragon's consciousness in a willing mortal nearby, awakening latent magical ability in a pact which will outlast the life of the mortal. Elves are greatly preferred due to their longevity being similar to dragons, though some of the chaotic dragon species take some small pleasure inhabiting a variety of shorter-lived creatures, transitioning to a new body after the death of a previous one.
Mortals inhabited by the spirit of a dragon must be especially strong-willed to not take on the alignment of the Dragon's Echo. The warlock alignment will shift at a minimum along the good/evil or lawful/chaotic axis, if not both. Of particular note is the physical manifestation of dragon habitation: though the warlock themselves may show a few outward signs (a favorite color, hairstyle or body language emulating their draconic spirit) it is often the case that future descendants will be draconically influenced - Dragonborn, Kobold or Lizardfolk offspring being born to humanoid Echoes of other species. Considering the number of dragons which died following the Sundering of Abeir-Toril, this may account for the Dragonborn seeming to emerge as a distinct and widespread race in the generations to follow - as a great number of Echoes manifested in humanoid form and interbred over generations.

You cannot cast these spells using pact magic (or spell slots if multiclassed) unless you have learned the spell through normal class features. The sum of the spells' spell-level must equal your warlock level, and the spell level of any individual spell cannot be higher than a third of your warlock level. You may cast each spell once per day without material components, refreshing at dawn. You may change spells when you increase your warlock level and can cast a spell at a higher spell level, provided it meets the other criteria.
Your senses are heightened, and your Blindsight now extends to thirty (30) feet.
Energy Imbued
Starting at 14th level, you become immune to a specific energy type based upon the dragon type of your Dragon Echo. Additionally, you infuse this energy type into aspects of your pact - adding 1d10 of this energy type to your Eldritch Blast attacks, any cantrip spell-attacks cast via the Pact of the Tome, any attacks using a Pact of the Blade weapon, any attacks made by your Pact of the Chain familiar, or any melee attacks made by the bearer of your Pact Talisman.
