Bard
Base Class: Bard

Those that follow this path as performers can weave masterful images of light and beauty upon the stage, sometimes putting on one man plays as they interact with their own illusions to the delight of the crowd or creating beautiful moving images accompanied by sounds. Often these bards are moving through the crowd looking for easy targets or will work together with a thief to relieve the crowd of their coin. It is rare for a bard from the College of Illusions to be caught, however, as they are almost always in disguise and never where or who you think they are, able to disappear at a moments notice.

Lightweaver

When you choose this college at 3rd level, you learn the disguise self and silent image spells and may cast each of them once per long rest without expanding a spell slot. Once you’ve cast them in this way, you may expend a use of your bardic inspiration to cast them without expending a spell slot. They do not count against your spells known.

Illusions Abound

Also at 3rd level, you learn the minor illusion cantrip and you may cast it as a bonus action. If you already know this cantrip, you learn a different bard cantrip of your choice. The cantrip doesn’t count against your number of cantrips known.

When your spellcasting feature lets you learn a bard spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose a spell from the bard spell list or you can choose a spell from any other spell list so long as the spell you choose belongs to the school of illusion.

Master Illusionist

At 6th level, you have become a master of illusions. You can maintain concentration on two spells at the same time as long as both are from the illusion school. The combined level of both spells must be less than or equal to half your bard level (rounded down). For example, at 6th level you can concentrate on two 1st level illusion spells or a 1st level and a 2nd level illusion spell. When an effect forces you to make a concentration check while you are using this feature, your concentration check affects both spells you are concentrating on, meaning that if you fail your concentration check, you drop both spells.

Trickster Extraordinaire

At 14th level, you learn the spell mislead if you don’t already know it. It does not count against your spells known. You may expend one use of your bardic inspiration to cast mislead as an action. Additionally, if you cast mislead in this way, you can cast spells as though you were in the illusory double’s space, using the illusory double’s sense as your own sense. Cast spells from your double’s space will still end the invisibility effect on you.
