Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your innate magic comes from the very fabric of time. A mishap with a teleportation spell might have sent you through time itself, stranding you in an era that is not your own; an otherworldly entity might have plucked you from your timeline and granted you its powers, or perhaps it was some other form of mysterious temporal event that gave you your abilities. Whatever the case is, your very soul has become attuned to the flow of time, allowing you to bend it to your will.

Having derived your powers from strange temporal anomalies has led to you manifesting certain quirks that might seem peculiar to others. Roll on the Temporal Soul Quirks table below, or come up with your own!

Temporal Soul Quirks

d6 Quirks
1 You often use slang and expressions that aren’t common... yet.
2 Your sense of fashion is either terribly old fashioned, or ahead of its time.
3 Nothing annoys you more than timepieces that run incorrectly.
4 You’re never late and never early.
5 Sometimes you talk a bit too fast, even for you.
6 You experience the feeling of déjà vu almost constantly.

Synchronous Mind

Beginning at 1st level, your mind has become attuned to time. You gain proficiency in the Intelligence (History) skill and always know the current time of day, no matter what plane of existence you’re on. Additionally, you can add your Charisma modifier to your initiative rolls.

Anachronistic Sorcery

At 1st level, your magic can pierce through time itself. Whenever a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you attempts to move, teleport or take the Hide action, you can use your reaction to mark that creature until the end of your next turn. The next time you cast a sorcerer spell, you can target a marked creature as if it was standing in the space where it stood when you marked it.

Temporal Magic

Also at 1st level, you’ve learnt how to innately cast certain magical spells related to time and temporal phenomena. You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Temporal Soul Spells table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Temporal Soul Spells
SORCERER LEVEL SPELLS
1st expeditious retreat, feather fall
3rd mirror image, ray of enfeeblement
5th blink, haste
7th banishment, death ward
9th contact other planelegend lore

Chronal Rejuvenation

At 6th level, you can reverse time around you to mend your wounds and restore some of your magical energy. As an action, you can regain a number of spent sorcery points equal to your proficiency bonus and a number of hit points equal to your sorcerer level.

You can use this feature once per short rest.

Timeless Soul

Also at 6th level, you’ve become inured to the detrimental effects of time. You have resistance to force damage and are immune to effects that would magically age you. Additionally, you age only 1 year for every 10 years that pass.

Temporal Step

At 14th level, you can make short leaps into the future. As a bonus action, you can choose to teleport a number of feet equal to your current available movement speed (If you have a movement speed of 30 feet and have moved 10 feet on your turn, you can only teleport 20 feet, for example). When you do so, you vanish to all other creatures, reappearing at the beginning of your next turn in the unoccupied space you chose to teleport to.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Lost in Time

At 18th level, you can scatter your foes into the flow of time. As an action, you can force a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier within 30 feet of you to make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, a creature vanishes, becomes lost within the flow of time itself, and takes 7d10 force damage. On a successful save, it doesn’t vanish and takes half damage. While lost within the flow of time, the target is incapacitated. The target remains there until the beginning of your next turn, at which point the target reappears in the space it vanished from or in the nearest unoccupied space if that space is occupied. If a creature is reduced to 0 hit points from this feature, its body is turned to dust.

You can use this feature once per long rest.
