Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

The Candle Maker derived from a city known as Candlebrass, a Kobold trade city. These Kobolds were known for their rare waxes and fancy candles. This city has been around since the Kobolds have ever known to exist. This has given the magic users of this city, time to learn how to use implement magical properties into the candles and wax. Developing ways to conjure the wax to make more candles and the such. Thus the Candle Keepers were established.

The Candle Makers make and manage, through magical means, a series of magical candles for the top buyers in the trade districts. Higher level Candle Keepers have been known to perform many great feats only using wax and rich earthen minerals.

Wax Molder

Starting at 2nd level, you can conjure small handfuls of magical wax and form it into simple shapes and objects. The object is solid wax that hardens and lasts indefinitely or unless you melt or recall the wax. You spend an action to form this object and can use another action to melt it. You can create an object up to 1 cubic foot in size. If you create a solid cubic foot of hardened wax, it can support up to 100lbs of weight. Anything above that will instantly break the mold.

Candles of Fortune

At 2nd level, you have learned how to create a variety of colored candles in which hold different magical benefits. You can prepare a number of candles equal to your intelligence modifier after a long rest. You can use a bonus action to light any one candle and gain one of the following properties:

  • Red Fire Candle- For the next minute, you can add your INT modifier to one damage roll of any cantrip or spell that deals fire damage.
  • Yellow Friendship Candle- For the next 8 hours, anytime you cast a spell made to charm a creature, the target is unable to discern that you cast the spell on it. Additionally, you can add a 1d4 to any charisma skill check.
  • Blue Healing Candle- For the next hour, anytime an effect or spell is used to restore hit points to you, you gain additional healing equal to your INT modifier.
  • Green Luck Candle- Until your next long rest, you gain a single 1d6 to add to any attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. Once used, this candle is expended.
  • Purple Knowledge Candle- For the next hour, you gain proficiency in one skill of your choice, and you are considered to have expertise in this skill.
  • White Protection Candle- Upon activating this candle, you gain temporary hit points equal to your wizard level plus your intelligence modifier. You gain these temporary hit points once. Once they are depleted, you cannot benefit again from this colored candle until you take a short rest and you must use a new candle.
  • Orange Control Candle- For the next hour, you can add your INT modifier to initiative rolls.
  • Black Revive Candle- For the next 10 minutes, when your hit points reach zero and you fall unconscious, you gain advantage on death saving throws. If you roll a natural 20 on your death saving throw, instead of gaining 1hp, you instead gain an amount of hit points equal to your wizard level plus your INT modifier.
  • Brown Travel Candle- Until your next long rest, you are not hindered by difficult terrain.

You cannot prepare more than one of each color at a time. Each candle has its own set duration and use limitation. Once used, that candle is considered expended and you cannot prepare another one until you take a long rest. However, as a bonus action, you can expend any spell slot to create a single candle. You can create a candle in this way an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus.

Potent Flame

Starting at 6th level, you can cause your magic candle to grow bright in a 30ft radius allowing your allies to see within it’s radius. Also, if you do not already have it, you gain proficiency in the perception skill and can add your INT modifier to your perception skill while you have at least one of your candles active.

The Candle Keeper

At 10 level, you have become the keeper of candles. You have mastered being able to make candles and keeping a vast inventory. You can prepare one additional candle. Additionally, you can create two of the same type of candle instead of one if you so choose. However, you can not use two of the same candle at the same time. Candles with the same colors do not stack. Each activated candle still counts against the number of candles you can use per long rest. You also gain the following benefits while you have any candle active.

  • While you have at lest one candle active, you are aware of any creature that enters the area of your candle light from your potent flame feature, and you cant be surprised. If the creature is invisible, it still remains invisible. Although you are aware that it is present, you are unaware of its location.
  • When you activate one of your candles, you create a duplicate that hovers next to an ally that you designate within 30ft of you. That ally gains the benefit of the candle that you activated but only counts against one use of the candle.

Master of Candle Light

Starting at 14 level, you have mastered the craft of creating and harnessing the powers of candles. These candles have lit your path and have shown you how to survive against all odds. They have revealed hidden knowledge and instilled you with understanding. You have learned how to create new candle types and you gain the following features:

  • You can prepare one additional candle
  • If you enter initiative with no more uses of your candles, you instantly regain the use of one candle.
  • While under the effects of your active candles, you gain an additional +2 to your AC as the candle light covers you in a protective aura. This bonus can only be applied once at a time. Any ally within 15ft of you, standing inside your light, also gains this benefit.
  • You can expend any number of candles, equal to a spell level that you can cast, to regain that level spell slot. For example, you can expend three of your candles to regain the use of a 3rd level spell slot or 5 candles to regain the use of a 5th level spell slot. The spell slot must be of a level you are able to cast.
