Base Class: Rogue
With a knack for deception and sleight of hand, your skills were honed with a focus on cheating your way into riches. Whether it be cards, darts, or dice, these games of chance are all rendered second best to your force of will. Those who follow this archetype are skilled in forcing lady luck to bend the knee, as they rig the odds to be ever in their favour.
Loaded Dice
3rd-level Gambler feature
You're not one to leave your safety up to chance. The game of life and death can too be rigged. When you use your sneak attack feature, you can choose for each dice to equal the number "4". You can use this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Nothing up my Sleeve
3rd-level Gambler feature
Years of cheating your way out of tricky situations at the betting table has granted you the ability to hide small objects in high-pressure situations. As a Bonus Action you may make a sleight of hand check to hide a light weapon and show a creature that can see you that your hands are empty. If you then attack that creature, and your sleight of hand was greater than their passive perception, you may make this attack at advantage. On a hit, it is considered a sneak attack.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Stacked Deck
9th-level Gambler feature
You have acquired a magical deck of cards on your travels. Whenever you take the Attack action, you can throe these magical cards, using their razor-sharp edge to make the attack. This magic weapon is a simple melee weapon with the finesse and thrown properties. It has a normal range of 30 feet and no long-range, and on a hit, it deals slashing damage equal to 1d10 plus the ability modifier you used for the attack roll. The card teleports back into the deck immediately after it hits or misses its target.
Quick Thinker
13th-level Gambler feature
Having been through many stressful situations where split-second decisions meant win or lose, you've gained the ability to think quickly on your feet in combat. Add a d6 to initiative rolls, and saving throws made during surprise rounds.
At 17th level this increases to a d10.
Not a Chance
17th-level Gambler feature
Lady Luck is a concept that is yours alone to mould as you see fit. On any ability check, saving throw or attack roll that requires you to roll the d20, you can choose for the dice to be a natural 19 after the roll. This feature is usable a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus.
