Monk
Base Class: Monk

Most monks train on their inner selves and project it out, but Monks of this Way project the outside peace and freedom of wind into themselves. This allows them to move like a calm wind free as can be. This way makes you very quick and free, giving you movement and control in combat.

Windy Steps

Starting at 3rd level, when you use a ki point to activate Step of the Wind, your jump distance triples instead of doubling, when jumping it uses your dexterity instead of your strength, and you gain an extra 5ft of movement. In addition, when you use a ki point for Patient Defense and the opponent misses with an attack roll against you then you can move up you speed as a reaction without provoking opportunity attacks.

Hurricane Fists

Starting at 6th level, your fists strike with the fury of a hurricane. When you use a ki point to activate Flurry of Blows, once on your turn when you miss an attack roll with an unarmed strike you can deal half of your damage as slashing instead of the normal bludgeoning damage as the wind follows your fist with a similar force. In addition, when you spend a ki point to use Stunning Strike, regardless of whether the target is stunned by the attack they are knocked back 5ft.

Air Walk

Starting at 11th level, the wind gathers under your feet to carry you through the skies. Using an action, you gain a fly speed equal to your walk speed for 1 minute. You can use this feature for free once per long rest, and otherwise you can spend 4 ki points to activate it again.

Fury of the Tempest

Starting at 17th level, when you activate your Air Walk ability grants you additional benefits as the wind bends to your will. For the 1 minute that the ability lasts you also gain an additional attack on your standard action. In addition, all of your unarmed strikes deal half damage when they miss and they now have a range of 20ft as you use the wind to throw your fists.
